This must be without a doubt the hardest working drummer. I'm impressed by drummers who make really tricky stuff look easy. I'm equally impressed when they make it look hard too. Especially because you know this guy is willing to push his body to limits just to play this unorthodox kind of stuff, to play it well, and to play it loud. What a beast
I remember Gojira playing in 2007 at "Rock oz Arenes" in Avenches, Switzerland. One of the best metal concerts I've heard! And I especially remember the drum solo played on a (metal) ladder! 🤩😍

La musique est-elle une compétition ? Non Ok ils ont appelés un album "L'Enfant Sauvage" mais pour le reste ils chantent en anglais, et toutes leur influences musicales sont américaines ou autres (Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, Deftones etc..) mais certainement pas françaises. Mario et Joe vivent aux USA. Et c'est très bien comme ça, aucun reproche à faire là dessus, mais par pitié arrêtez de vous sentir fier et de mettre du nationalisme là dedans, c'est grotesque et hors de propos. Gojira représente Gojira, point. Donc absolument pas frustré ni grincheux, juste objectif.

One of the best solos Ive heard. I noticed my self hearing a song. When starting your splash part I was worried that it would go in the pretentious territory, but it was awsome.
Goodness gracious! That was one of the greatest drum solos I have ever heard. The solo itself tells a story complete with an intro, climax and decrescendo. Phenomenal.
