The mobile version, according to cuda core count is actually a *4080* .. not sure how this becomes a 4090M... but regardless the performance per watt is very impressive and the temps are also quite impressive!

Yes, it's essentially a 4080 power limited to 175W instead of 320W, so it performs roughly like a 4070Ti, but does it with considerably less wattage (175W vs 285W in the 4070Ti). Likewise, it performs at about 70% of the speed of a 4090 desktop but at only 30% of the wattage (175W vs 450W). Which is crazy.
The marketing choice to name it a 4090 sucks but it's still impressive performance for a laptop, and it's much, much more power efficient than the desktop models at stock power limits. Curious to see how a desktop 4090 performs at 175W.

And with dlss3.5 and fg and so on... if u buy a 4090 laptop you will have long term power. That was not the case with older generations. The RTX4000 costs more, yes, but also performs longer on top, because dlss will be the future not more ghz core clocks, and it has 16gb future proof for wqhd gaming.

The mobile 4090 is very impressive in most cases and at 4k ultra. Even though frame generation and Dlss should be switch on to get a better analysis of what next gen is. Its still insane.
