what animals should i get normal carcass?to craft thick hide?
@@destinaki914 Boars, bush dogs, wolves, I think they all give you carcass
its not an IV that stands for 4 in latin I=1 II=2 III=3 IV=4 V=5 VI=6 and so until u get to 9 which is IX and then 10=X
@@destinaki914 Giant Alligators are by far the simplest source of thick hide. They're pretty common around the lake and river in the starting region and, while dangerous, they aren't as dangerous as the other creatures that give thick hide.
This whole game’s setup is built around recycling, not keeping weapons, gear, or even tribesmen forever. Even your “main”swaps of you manage to die.
Its new and refreshing and keeps OP issues in check for PvP
Thats true
This can be turned off or tuned down they do lose way too much per repair
Yeah they do for sure
Where can I find that setting?
will have to find this setting and turn it off especially since i have my own server XD
@@Skullskalle on the advanced settings before starting world/server theres an option that says how much durability per repair lost and you can tune it down. In my server the durability loss is a quarter of the normal loss which IMHO is more than enough, finding legendary stuff is not that common for it to be useless after 3 repairs
I disagree. Once you have a good set of tools and such you have so much left over materials...needing to replace after a while us pretty standard and needed.
Repairing saves resources though instead of making a new tool every time. I understand scrapping/make new one after 2 or 3 repairs but saying never to repair is misleading
Yeah repairing is still good but only a couple times but my bad for misleading
I noticed this extreme durability loss too. I beleive the devs are trying to incentivise us to get a high level crafter leveled up and replace our gear regularly, because with a good crafter you'll get IV or V (epic or legendary) quality craft pretty much every time. They are "forcing" us to get good thralls in our base
Yeah that’s true, definitely gotta look into getting my crafter
@@RyelW yeah for sure. Best place I found to cinsistantly get master thralls of any type is the barbarian barracks in the mangroves (the islands in the river). Plus the bosses there drop epic and legendary bronze gear and weapons. I actually don't even craft much gear because I can get it from that camp instead
its 10% max dura per repair so a tier 4 or 5 can be repaired a couple of times before they hit the dura of a green or white :)
wowww I never realized that... good catch on that lesson learned!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
Of course, always trying to help
Better tip: If you stop the repair process before 100% (i.e. about 75%), then the weapons, armor and tools don't lose durability! 😁
Gotta try that
@@RyelW You can interrupt the repair by transferring the weapon from workbench to your inventory or to an other mate. But you have to be quick before 100% ;)
Oh dang I never even noticed that, thanks for the sweet tip!
Glad I could help
so you should only repair equipments ? I don't think tools tier effect that much but we always need a best stat equipments for every kind of unexpected danger, it's kinda grindy to get red tier equipments
Yeah, u can still repair items but when they start getting too low just uncraft it
The durability won't go down less and less. It will go down more and more the more you repair said item. Now the durability on the item will get less and less.
Yeah on the item you repair it will keep going down everytime you repair it
talked to the devs about this makes no sense to lose 19% of the life time durability, the higher the quality the bigger the impact,
Yeah it’s a big amount, they should definitely lower it
IV is 4. So the thing is tier 4
My brother and I calculated this mechanic last night and we think the item loses 20% max durability per repair.
Also, your tribesman's armor/weapon/craftsman skill affects max durability when the item is crafted. So make sure whoever is making the tools or gear has a high skill.
Thanks for telling me that!
You can turn off tool dulrability in sever setting :)))
Yeah I know but I'm not on my own server
yep can confirm I've got my own server and yes the durability going down with every repair is a major it should be less tbh and I have done a repair on a tool that I used without meaning to and I repaired it and noticed the damn thing dropped below what it was damaged by :/
Yeah it is annoying when u don’t know about it
thats crazy. im jus figuring this out as well. thanks
Glad I can help people
Same on official PVE, kinda stupid because you go through them rather quick on a decent mining run.
Yeah they go out pretty fast
Your logic is sound assuming you have a ton of resources, and more relevant in PVP where you have to worry about getting ambushed. You also have to consider the repair cost vs durability loss. Do I need a pick with maximum durability to smash some rocks around my base? Not really. Do I want them to have max durability if I am going halfway across the map to try and get some obsidian? Probably. Same with armor If I'm going to run through the low level area to go get some salt, let me use my old armor instead of scuffing the new set that I want at its best before I run up to do a dungeon. Repairing is contextual based on the situation. Then of course as the durability goes down hand the stuff of to your tribesmen.
Yeah that’s true, you can always save weapons and armor that’s lower durability for other uses so I do agree with that
Heads up IV is Roman numerals for 4
Yeah I know lol
If you repair anything that has a mod attached, you will also lose the mod.
That’s crazy, thanks for letting me know
been playing days, never noticed....wtf man.
i mean by that, i keep gettin gear from the tribe bosses, so i jus swap...but i ahve repaired some shit! wtf
Yeah it’s crazy and glad I can let people know about this repair thing
nice, help bro.
Thankss
"IV" - I believe you mean 4 my friend :D
lol let me say IV buddy 😂😭
nice tip
Thanks!
oh ok what do we do when its broke oh thats right repair it
lol yeah u can repair it lol or uncraft also
u lose 400 durability per repair... worth to repaire a few time since it's coast 1/3 of the item to repaire...
Yeah it is worth a few times
hahaha im pretty sure this was told about in the tips when starting the game.
Oh I didn’t know but glad I could help people out knowing
lol?
... Less durability is obviously better than NO durability, which is what a broken tool has. lol It's costs significantly less to repair the tool than to craft another. Repairing is cheaper and gives you more durability than not having a tool at all. This video is just stupid. You really didn't think this through.
At some point you'll want to make a new tool and 'uncraft' the old one for the meager 10% of resources you get back from it. But its far better to repair it a few times first.
Still a helpful tip , some people didn’t even know this was in the game so helping new people out and also no one wants to get repairing a tool that breaks so fast but thanks for the comment
