Wow! This is REALLY AMAZING!!! Thank You! My Church is playing this song this weekend, and this is exactly what I needed to learn some great stuff to add to the song on guitar.
just discovered your channel friend, im not a beleiver but there is so many good christian bands who create amazing and music with meaning, and you really put that across in your playing i love your inside out cover too i just adore the tone from your stratocaster, you clearly know your instrument and equipment well, amazing tone and amazing playing, well done! you got a new subscriber:D
I have been listening to this cover for months. I really love your build up on the chouris. God bless you brother and keep serving the Lord with music.
I didn't an amp for this. I plugged directly into my recording interface and used a software amp sim. When I do use my amp however, I usually set it just at the edge of breakup and let my pedals do most of the work.
To a certain extent yes. But it certainly won't give you a wide gain range, eg going from a cleanish rhythm tone to full on sustaining distorted lead. 2 overdrives would be just nice imo.
great job! your cover really inspires me to play again in the band. just one question thou. when you play the bridge part, do u play everything in B and just keep the E open? or you play in B and E?
hi james :D with your volume knob rolling down idea.. just wanna ask you if that technique may apply to create two stage of gain with just using one overdrive pedal?? most worship guitarist uses many overdrives to create different stages of gain and blending those overdrives.. as for me.. budget wise.. want to play with two stages of gain with just one overdrive.. is that possible???
@brand0nized: Play what fits with the band, what sounds good, and most importantly, whatever conveys the message of the worship leader. That's really all there is to it imo. No hard and fast rules. Have fun:)
thanks :D how did you setup your amp?? did you set it up to break down a little bit when hit hard?? did you connect your pedals to the amps effects loop or direct to the input jack??
Such a talented young man. Have been listening to your covers for couple months now. May the Lord bless you, Jim
great job on the chorus licks you came up with! wow it sounds like it should have been in the original recording!

@thebassfan17: Intro progression is A (2 beats) E/G# A B (4 beats).
This was recorded without an amp. Guitar -> pedalboard -> direct into computer -> amp simulator in Reaper.

Of course. The Vox is brighter, with a different midrange curve. That said, I think playing style and technique influences your tone more than gear.

I don't think its a sin to eat something dude.,..but be careful. Or maybe your just in a fasting for christ or starving for salvation phase.
