Presumably we're all liberals right or left in the UK. This isn't the states where they have forgotten western civilization was built on liberalist thinking after all. Obviously Trump is an easy target to mock and I agree he should be ignored much more. Sadly his position as president does mean he gets more attention than is warranted. Frankie hasn't changed his views over the years though. You are just not familiar with his oeuvre.
Just out of interest, which current comedians do you think cover political content well? You obviously don't get comedians less PC than Boyle but happy to hear your suggestions for alternatives to Boyle to front a show such as this.

18:28 - I hope she really just wrote "a little bit", because what she said there is complete nonsense.
Faces are not inherently "harder to render" than anything else, and games aren't required to look realistic, anyway (some of the most popular games are deliberately cartoony).
And "rendering a realistic face" is not a *gameplay* element, at best it's a tech demo. To create a game that people will want to play (and replay) you need some challenging activity, like shooting alien invaders, racing cars, building a city, jumping across platforms, managing a sports team, tidying up a farm, exploring an ocean on a different planet, etc..
None of that is inherently about "dystopian futures". Looks like she played maybe two games in her whole life and constructed a nonsensical narrative about "rendering faces" to apply her experience to the entire games industry (and gamers in general).

Frankie Boyle is a big enough name and has enough money that he could produce a show like this on a small budget unconstrained by the BBC. It’s a real shame he thinks such old fashioned mediums are the only way. So many of the guests are just repeating BBC talking points. Frankie speaks very differently when he’s not on the BBC and has spoken about how this current period is one where the establishment are drastically constructing the voices you get to hear in comedy and on panels. Irrelevant and dumb comedy is the only way to a career now. I had to skip the polka dot lady when she said disinformation all started in Russia. A completely unverified “fact” that she just pulled out of her arse. So weak.

The word disinformation derives from the russian patterning "dezinformatsiya." So yes disinformation started in Russia, at least etymologically. Glad to verify this for you.

I mean - of course Russia is doing a bit of interference here and there: but the idea that a restaurant owner in St. Petersburg stole the show in the presidential election with 5 hackers and a budget of $4.99 from the entire weight of US advertising, PR, Madison Ave, Wag the Dog Hollywood, the Koch brothers billion etc is just sooooo silly the people pushing that meme have to be more than a bit 'disingenuous'.
Is Lucy Preeble stupid? Anything but - but she also knows that being on-message will do a girl's career no end of good.

Have you notices that all the guests are women, or gay white men? Occasionally a different ethnicity. I doubt he picks the guests, but absolutely fuck the BBC. Jimmy Saville - never forget. Jill Dando - bam. Right in the head.

The way we do it in Australia is you go and vote and say your name, then they look you up in a big book and ask where you live, then you tell them and they cross your name off, then you leave and maybe have a sausage in a bread with some onions and tomato sauce. It's alright. I mean you have to Que for like twenty minutes sometimes, so I dont know if fraud is really viable, or even worth the time.

I live near the American border in Alberta and the northern border is so open that it’s hard to tell where it is in some places. I’ve accidentally wandered over the border several times while hiking in the mountains and on the prairie without even knowing it, so when I hear about these kids getting locked up at the border (which I also crossed as a kid on foot while on vacation in Mexico) I get pretty outraged knowing that I went through there with ease because I was white, that I crossed the border into Montana and nobody cared, and that these people can’t be treated the way I was simply because of how they look.
