Just adding my gratitude to Josie at Josie Ceramics! She could not have been more patient and helpful. She really helped make this part of the day special!
Oh! I just wanted to say, though I agree and think you're right about 2nd chances, I think the way you touch and hold each other is beautiful- the impression you make in each embrace and in your soothing strokes, is that you really know each other's bodies, and have a certain intimacy that isn't just an inevitable consequence of the years you have been together...❤ So it's about you and your husband as much as it is about the hope some of us have for 2nd chances, for a love as deep as yours seems to be!
There is so much talk these days about what makes a "real" man. Mike said it perfectly when he said he just wasn't mature enough the first time he was with Karen. When a man can show his true feelings and express them, he is on the way to create a happy and loving relationship.
Yup, nice said! There was a girl I met couple of years ago, so smart, so emotionally intelligent, emphatic to other people, and most importantly she knew how to set boundaries and communicate her needs. I never met anything like her till then. But, even though I enjoyed being with her I never let the relationship to fully develop and go deeper because of my insecurities and childhood traumas. Smiles, laughter, kisses and hugs became suddenly sad faces and tears. I couldn't watch her like that, so I suggested that it might be best to go separate ways, even though she still wanted us to grow together. After that breakup I contacted a psychotherapist so I can work on myself and my emotions, and it's going really well, I learned a ton of stuff about myself and why I have these fears and where they come from. I wish I get second chance with this girl just like Mike did in this video.
Such a beautiful thing she said about second chances💗 I feel like nowadays giving someone from your past a second chance is almost frowned upon, which is such a pity in my opininon!
My parents were married 70 years. They liked and loved each other until their last breath. When I was younger my dad would come home from work my mom would greet him. They would hug and kiss. They were awesome. I miss them everyday of my life.
I’ve noticed some couples come together and their love energy is toxic and some people like this couple come together and their love energy just screams love.
They have such a beautiful relationship. As much friends as they are lovers and supporters of each other. You can just tell how deeply connected and committed they are to each other.
@@meetcutesnyc Awesome work with your operation. This expansion upon some of our favorite couples, plus giving them a special day to honor their love and the way they’re impacting the world is an excellent idea. Thank you! ❣️
I so enjoy listening to the details of story of how each couple meets. Its inspiring for others to here. There stories that usually very organic, just natural in the making.
As Karen said, the title “Second Chances” is the drawcard as it is possible to re-establish oneself. I’m 82 and my partner is 76 and we are definitely enjoying our second chance at love. I am a widow and he a widower. Yesterday, someone at the market said to us “you look good together’ - and we are good together. He balances me and vice versa, each with our strengths and weaknesses. We dont live together but are definitely partners in life. We are loving and caring of each other, we are a team.
@meetcutesnyc please show more of these iconic relationships to let us understand that " love" conquers all. Thanks for making my day in Reading, England.
I got my second chance at age 50. I again met the man I had known in my 30's and fallen in love with but we were both married. At age 50, still both married and living in different cities, I googled him and wrote him an email at his office. Five minutes later my phone rang and we have been together for for almost 16 years and married for 12. We both had to go through not easy divorces and with 6 children between us had some many challenges. However, it all worked out and time does heal and our children are all on board with us. Love can come at any age, never give up. Fate has its ways of stepping in and mapping out a different life for you. I moved to his city knowing no one except him and it has become my home. I think if we had gotten together in our 30's it wouldn't have worked out, age and maturity certainly helps.
I think they were normal and loving, that is why they were so popular. That was humble of her to say it was the name of the video, but truly it was their relaxed and kind fun loving deposition towards one another. I think.
I'm absolutely happy for them how giggly they still are together. Their personalities seem very smart, wise, refreshing and open towards the world. They seem like absolutely lovely people and I'm happy they've met ❤
Thank you so much for giving us the movie to the line "we fell into a kiss". Love it and I love Karen & Mike. May God bless them for another 40 years together! 🙏❤️
I'm 35 years married, technically yesterday on the 26th, and I am jealous of these two. They can't keep the hands off each other as I can see the smoldering embers between them; it is palpable. ❤❤❤ BRAVO.
I love watching these videos - what would make them even better than they already are is if we could see a picture or pictures of the couples in the early part of their relationships.....I would love to see them then too! Thank you so much for your stories - they are so uplifting. ☮❤Cape Town

I have been "alone" for 7 years now after a relationship of 13 years. I see my ex every week because we have a daughter together and on Saturdays go out and do something nice together. He is in a relationship now, but still says he'd wish we could have stayed together. Who knows.... maybe someday we will get our 2nd chance.
Moving forward, I’d like you to ask the couples what were their main questions to one another. Did they drill a lot of questions like we do Or do they ask fewer questions to get to the point?
I loved this videos for some views of New York and watching the couple. Just I would've had so many questions. I feel the many cuts didn't give room for longer insights and thoughts of them.

Their so cute I hope me and my now ex boyfriend end up like them 🙏 do you know the reason they broke up the first time was it cheating or somthing of that nature ??
Because of these stories it’s easier to believe in love 🥰. A big thank you to you guys ♥️
Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, especially in this day and age when all hope seems lost.
I agree❤

I love how Mike and Karen answer questions with only laughs and chuckles. Next! 😂😂😂

I have always been told and found it to be true with men, when they are ready, they are ready! You can't force them. This was beautiful to watch.

Love how they kept the curiosity toward each other after 37 years! You do see the genuine look when the other was talking ❤
I can never forget "We fell into a kiss".
Thank you for bringing them back!
Please make a two-hour version 😂❤ Couldn't stop smiling!
Laugh, complicity, loyalty... plus admiration and respect..., all seasoned with attraction.
That's the cocktail.

A great mix!

@@meetcutesnyc her last name was Lightfoot! They were so happy and sweet. But, any of the couples will do. 💜

This is such a lovely story! Thank you so much for sharing. I have always believed in love even though at 62 am not optimistic for myself. ❤😊
Please, never give up ❤😊❤😊❤@@lydiapicano8806
Your so selfish... What happened to your husband and to his wife... And your so proud that you hurt others... Psshhh
Nothing “romantic” when the lives of two spouses and six children were put on the chopping block in order for two people to behave so selfishly.
They give all us hope in second chances. 🥺❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
I think they were normal and loving, that is why they were so popular. That was humble of her to say it was the name of the video, but truly it was their relaxed and kind fun loving deposition towards one another. I think.
This was so beautiful and heartwarming 😍 all of a sudden I have more hope. Love the extended video.

Would be great if you make this a continuous follow up with this couple.❤
In my humble opinion it wasn't the title; it was Karen and Mike and their love story that drew people in.
Was thinking exactly the same!
I remembered and loved this couple. The word that comes to mind is "authentic".
