I recently got bumped to first class for the very first time. What a great experience. Glad you got to try it as well. 95 Euros!! That is a darn expensive light.
Nice! You got bumped for free? It is, but it is definitely top quality. It's kind of like first class. I never thought I would actually pay for it. But then when I tried it I realized, you get what you pay for. At least sometimes. 😅
@@TimeWarpIceland I had a lot of miles and thought they would have grabbed some for the upgrade but they didn't, so it was actually really for free. Unfortunately my wife had to stay in "steerage" (She wanted to for my sake. A year and a half ago on a 12 hour non-stop from Frankfurt to Phoenix I got myself a BIG blood clot in my leg which I still have. 😖😖 So I am on blood thinners now for life and my wife wants me to fly first class or business if at all possible. The moral of that story is always get up and move around on long flights.)
The biggest problem I found with flying first class is that once you do that, it is VERY difficult to go back to economy. I will say that when I did fly Saga class earlier this year, it was great service and food. Sorry your flight was so turbulent. But at least you found the special menu with drinks. They certainly have a large selection of gin! The Saga Lounge at Keflavik also gets very high ratings!
Hahaha yea we did not have first class in the way back but we did have a whole row each to our selves and just slept. It was great too. But I fear next flight will be harder to except the short leg room, mediocre service and expensive ham sandwiches.
Great to hear your flight’s were memorable and enjoyed. Are there videos in the works about your DC visit,,, surely after being disappointed you couldn’t shop at “the mall” 😂 there must have been more fun insights to share?
Haha I might. It's been such a busy time since we got back. I have a few ideas I'm working on. I don't know if I'll make one on washington. But we did have a very nice time.
I love looking down on the other passengers. (Well I did that time I flew SAGA.) It was sooooo great. A very windy day in Iceland is a hurricane in the rest of the world. Great Video. (as always)
We have never done first class before. I'd rather suffer in economy and use that money to travel more. 😅 Thankfully, we have yet to be on any extremely turbulent flights.
Haha yea, it was nice seeing as I didn't really pay for it. I could have used the air miles differently but I found this was well worth trying. Only problem is, now I don't want to go back to coach 😅
@TimeWarpIceland Ha, I can imagine. Points are a game changer. We redeem points pretty much every time we fly. Maybe one of these days, I'll splash out and do business. 😆
Nice way to treat Mrs karl, Gledileg jol

Glad you had a good time,,, the turbulence segment,,, Inga cool as can be ,,, Karl 😖🫣
Haha yea, she has more airmiles than me and bigger cahomes too. 😅
@@TimeWarpIceland Haha 😂😂😂
Glad they treated you well. When I went to Iceland I was in coach and they were very stuck up, not nice at all.
I guess á smile costs extra 😅
Missed the noise cancelling headphones so you dont have to listen to the rabble in the back 😸
Haha I did have them but didn't use them much. They are so quiet these max 8.

Thank you! 😊 It's going to be another hurricane tonight. Glad I'm not flying.
