isn't the proper way to tap a new thread is removing the head? How can you be sure the shavings are 100% sucked out of the cylinder?

Yes the 100% way to ensure theirs no shavings is to have cylinder head off. The kits instructions say this but its a big job to get one of these heads off especially for one insert job. The insert repairs I've done about 30-35 have not had any major side effects from shavings or atleast none that I can tell without doin in-depth testing. I have rigged up a duct taped hose kit for my shop-vac and I also have a inspection scope to look down cylinder when removing debris. If I did take the head off I'd probably do all the spark plug threads. Oh and fords bad design of heads can even blow out inserts which if happens, u have to get a replacement head. I only work on them I'd honestly not want to deal with any of these engines so I wouldn't go out of my way to not buying one lol

Turn off the damn radio when you make a video. That’s the worst.

Please watch this video carefully to see a guy who has absolutely no idea what he is doing ! ! Maybe a little less Gonga at filming time would have helped !

neil mccolman haha yeah sorry for crappy camera work and mumbling. Glad u took the time to watch video and leave some constructive criticism. I've been using this thread repair kit for few years and they do work. Wish ford would have Annie'd up and fixed these problems under a warranty though haha.
