I just got back from Europe and I used the bento bag v3. I’ll never go back to anything else. All the top openings were crucial. My husband is eyeing it. Lol
I think the weekender could be great if it was smaller and nylon. I like it but it’s so weighted. Ever since I’ve purchased the CALPAK 26L backpack… I will never need anything else ❤
Beis uses “vegan” leather, or plastic. Nomad Lane uses real leather. Trying to decide between a Maison de Sabré backpack and this Nomad Lane bag for a Personal Item. The biggest factor for the Nomad Lane that I’m leaning towards is the benefit of the two pockets for the tech pouch and toiletry bag. Seems like it would be so much easier to go through TSA.
On the airplane, I want water bottle, snacks, big headphones, kids toys, sweatshirt, not so much extra clothes. Can you access those from the bento, or is it clamshell to access items?

yes!! those top openings are so helpful, especially in places like security at the airport.
Sadly, the water bottle zipper compartment isn't deep enough in version 4.0
Is that the weekender or the mini weekender? Wouldn’t a more apples to apples comparison be the bento vs mini weekender?
based on the capacity of how much the bento can fit, I'd say the regular weekender is the most accurate comparison.

you can easily access everything, besides the center opening. there are zippers on top for each section so you don't have to open from the center.
