  • Today’s interview is with the iconic dog man George Alston.
George devoted his life to the sport of purebred dogs, and he is one of those who gave back more than he ever took from it. He won Best Junior Handler at Westminster in 1954 and went on to win the group at this iconic show numerous times. Five of George’s assistants went on to win Best in Show at Westminster with 15 of them winning the group there over the decades. We all know it’s one thing to be a great handler, but another to have the ability to pass your knowledge on to future generations. That’s what George did and he has a lasting legacy in the sport because of it.
This is a can’t-miss discussion between two great dog men. Although they come from different generations and different countries, their impact on the sport of purebred dogs will be remembered forever.

Can you please help me with our sheltie. He is beautiful and we have been entering him in dog shows for a while now and he’s two years old. he’s very shy and doesn’t bate or look at the judge. All the judges think he is beautiful but this is holding him back.
