She didn't reply for ages and I'm just sat there thinking 'I've scared her away with my new fandom, haven't I' I saw her at school and asked her why she hadn't replied and she just said she didn't know how to and I'm there like 'XD Yep, I've scared her off with my new fandom haven't I' she likes Hamilton and DEH but she hasn't managed to properly introduce me to DEH yet and I think I failed with ITH but she's still the biggest Hamilfan I know (other than me and about equal to another friend I've got who's actually going to see Hamilton but also knows a few ITH songs) Also, I love your profile picture XD

this show is absolutely brilliant. I got to see it 3 times with the original broadway cast. i wish people would see this as a separate entity from Hamilton. It was nominated for 13 tonys, won 4 including best musical, won the grammy and was nominated for a Pulitzer. I'm so happy people will get to see more of Lin's brilliance when the movie comes out next summer!

When Vanessa starts singing about leaving town when she gets money, Usnavi gets sad, but Benny notices this and starts singing his lines to distract Usnavi with happy thoughts

Wow, has Miranda grown as a writer and composer: as good as "In the Heights" was, you can just see the mega-growth in music, lyrics, choreography, etc., etc. in "Hamilton" eight years later: so much more sophisticated and complex. This was the first Tony Awards performance I remember seeing on TV, when I was 12. I clearly remember hearing Karen Olivo sing, and think "who is she, and how is her voice so perfect?!" Even now, this musical remains one of my favorites. And Karen Olivo is still a vocal angel...
What’s interesting to see is how different Chris’s performance is as Benny vs Washington. Benny is loose and funky. Washington is obviously stern and serious, as a general and the first president of the US. Shows his talent!
I feel so lucky to have been in NYC when this was first starting and getting the incredible suggestion to go see this show. Of all of the Broadway shows I've seen on The Great White Way, this was the one that blew me away the most.
I just saw this on the West End in London- super intimate theater in the round, it was amazing to be so close to the music. Life changing show, and it changed theater forever as well.
My sons high school just did a full production of In the Heights. It was my first time hearing of this play. I’d have to say that it’s amazing and the kids did a really great job! My boys played the rolls of Sonny and Benny and their best friend was Usnavi ( US Nazy) lol! I’m completely hooked now and I know all of the songs😊
