Hi Tim, great video! I'm trying to set up a simple template in TouchOsc to switch articulation for my Vienna sample instruments. I don't know if you're familiar with there Synchron player and the way they map articulations but I need to send a program change message and some note-on at the same time. In other words, I think need to add a Note-on into a program change (?). Would you know how? I hope I'm making sense 😬

Hi, so sending a PC (program change) or Note On are super simple. You can use a MIDI message, and then in the settings where it says Control Change, switch that to your Program Change or Note On, then it will be the correct type of message.

been watching thru your videos trying to figure out how to get each touch osc template (specific to one vst, like this one) to load when the instrument is selected.

What DAW are you using? The trouble is that loading a template is manual and most DAWs won't send a message to TouchOSC when you select a track. However, if it's just a page from a pager you want to pop up when a certain "something" is clicked, I've done this in Reaper.

@@TimCorpus logic! After some research it looks like its possible maybe but not easy. I might give O S C a try though since I’ve heard people pull it off with that!

Interesting! If you figure it out where selecting a track or instrument, then Logic cues something in touch OSC, let me know!

Great video! Thank you. You should consider selling your template as a starting point for some of us..

Great presentation! Is there a way for the x and y values to drop down to zero (return to zero) in Touchosc when you take your fingers off the iPad?

Have you noticed the vibrato fader doesn’t work as in previous versions? I can’t transition between vibrato and none while holding a single note anymore.

I have found the issue. There is a scripting issue. The vibrato fader doesn't work correctly "out of the box." It only works correctly after you make your first custom mapping. If I load an instance of Violins 1 let's say, click on sustains and move the fader on a single note, you can't crossfade between vibrato and non-vibrato. As soon as I set up keyswitches in their custom map section (there are none by default) the fader then behaves correctly.

Thanks for the heads up! That's definitely weird it's giving you trouble. I don't love the new UI. I really like keeping my articulations on different MIDI channels as opposed to using CC, but that's harder to do now.

    How to do rebow ??

Is that a TouchOSC question or a CineSamples question?

@@arsantiqua9121 Probably depends on the library. That's a question for CineSamples.
