Starting August 2024, real estate transactions are changing. Sellers will now only negotiate their listing agent’s commission, while buyers will negotiate separately with their own agents.
By law, Realtors must have a signed agreement with buyers before showing homes. As a seller, you might still be asked to cover the buyer’s agent commission, but you’ll have the flexibility to negotiate.
