Well I must say I learned a few new things here. Nice pleasant video here. I knew about the Etch pad but the spray is new. Also the masking is a great idea.
Was given one a few months ago and set it aside pretty quickly. I mainly draw with ink and this product has so much plastic in its formulation that you have to wait for the liquid in the ink to evaporate or it smears incredibly. I don't much like the plastic feel of it, even for pencil, but then I don't like working on yupo or other plasticky substrates.
Why can't it be cut out? I do realize that it's made from stone but it is thin. An exacto blade couldn't cut a sheet out? I really love the idea, especially with no waste or cutting down trees and all. Thanks for sharing
@@smoothie77drawingpainting ahh I get it. You can technically get the paper out but you wouldn't want to because of the exposure. Thanks for explaining
So if I'm understanding you correctly, it's a sketch book. Not a spare panel for a front door, or a chain saw, but a sketch book.... LOL Hope you enjoy it.
I can't tell if this company I s still in business. I'm afraid to order from them. They won't reply to my chats. Plus they leave very limited ways to contact them. Help if you can.
The link to the website is in the video description, as far as I'm aware they are still in business, Maybe they are slow replying to your emails due to it being bank holiday?
I would buy one, its not a gimmicky surface, even though it has its limitations, its actually a very nice surface to work on, ok it wouldn't be my "go to" paper, and it is a bit pricy for what it is, but its nice to try different things, I enjoyed using it.

Terrific review, very objective and thorough
Actually would maybe be good for acrylic painting sketch book as well
This looks like a interesting paper. I am extremely curious to try it...
It may be good for the pencil study
Travail méticuleux et qu'elle finesse , merci du partage .
Very kind of you to say, Thanks Diane.
Great wotk. Since it is made of stone it would be interesting to see how it is for scratching.
You got an etchety-etch sketch book and pen!
Obras sempre maravilhosas. Parabéns pelo seu talento refinado. Grande abraço, sou seu fã. Brasil....
Thank you Carlos, much appreciated! :)
I think the blotchiness gives the background some texture and more interest than if it was completely smooth…for me that’s a plus not minus

How many months ago did you recieve the limestone pad?

You can't cut it out and hang it on the wall, you cant expose the paper to uv light for long periods of time or it starts to break down.

Looks nice x
Thanks Diane :)
Are you going to try working on the back of the same page?
No, I never work on both sides,

You understand correctly Graham, just don't over think it 😂😂😂

I suppose anything is OK for free, would you BUY one? Just another gimmicky surface, IMHO

What would be your top of the line go to final product pad?
My sister wants to buy me a gift from this Sketchbook Co. But I can't confirm their legitimacy.
