I have been watching many videos about cars because I wanted to get a new car. Nedahl, your videos were by far the most informative and genuine. Thank you! I am getting a RAV4!
Fovlight yes I did :) rav4 cruiser. I am in love for it! My friend is having a baby and really liked the look and space, so she is wanting to get one for her too :) thank you!!!
Excellent review! After driving it for a week you are very happy with it. Your reviews are so good because your perspective is from a family for a week's period, this is so important as most reviewers push the car and most owners will never put their cars onto a track. In Canada the Hybrid is a very affordable option on a RAV4. The Rav4 will also be very reliable, and hold it's value in the years to come.
Nice article and comparison. I have just done this exact comparison and bought one of your test vehicles. I know you have to go on advertised pricing, but shopping around and hammering a deal at each outlet saw a much different outcome in price comparison. That and the individual spoken to at each dealership. I now own a Mazda CX-5 GT 2.5 Turbo. Longest wheelbase, shortest overhangs and 19” wheels means it will eventually be the best handling car here. As empty nesters we only need comfort upfront so any of these would have done. I really wanted the Honda CR-V, but you were kind. It’s gutless and still has a droning CVT. Drove nicely and was as comfortable as the CX-5. I liked the idea of the RAV4 due to Toyota’s reputation, but the high starting price, no willingness to discuss price and an arrogant salesman turned me off. Drove the Subaru and couldn’t wait to give it back. Gutless, droney and a little wallowing over speed humps. THE VERDICT: knowing that I can still fit my 2 grand children’s rear facing car seats in the back and by adding a decent set of Pilot Sport 4 tyres I will end up with the best midsize SUV. Try fixing the short comings of the others that easily. Footnote: we loved the buying experience so much when purchasing the CX-5, I bought a CX-3 Akari for my wife. Needless to say we saved quite a bit off MSRP of the cars for buying 2.
Does it still come with two different motors? There used to be a 2.4 petrol and a V6.. Also does that bloody big monitor on top of the dash, fold away?
That reminds a lot of my older 2012 2wd rav4 it’s not hybrid but seems like they’ve made improvements but they’re basically the same. I’d buy one. It’s like a Camry SUV
Can you please review the vehicle as a mother since you always says a family review? Talk about noise level inside, the cost of ownership for the average people, real fuel consumption (not the claimed one), quality of the interior vs potential scratches, spills, dirt, etc. They way you review the vehicles is kind of not a family reviews. I believe Apple Carplay and Android Auto only benefit the driver, nothing's useful for the family
I thought she was not going to mention her husband this time. But I was wrong. She still managed to squeeze him in at the end. I am disappointed however that she didn't specify his height
Excellent video thanks for sharing details reviews but I have a question you said hybrid start from $35k I offer two dealer $37 they said they can’t even go around that price. I am getting confused where to get this car for $35k. If you could give me some suggestions that would be lovely.
Both me and my wife love our RAV4 as in all cars there is no perfect car and there are little things i would have changed like in my CRV you could open the boot not using the fob without unlocking the whole car and there back seat was few CM wider made it easier to put 2 big kids seats and an adult in the back saying that we did a 5 hours trip with my daughter and her kids in the back and she was perfectly OK i love the way this car drive i have compared it to the Honda CRV hybrid and this was one of my main decision factors it's quieter on the highway and more lively on the accelerator also the adaptive cruse control and lane keep are smother
This is a family review hate to tell you this but there is some families out there that don't care about speed or fuel consumption or even engine mechanics some just more worry about look, feel and safety so don't judge if you want a more indepth then go to other car expert you tube channel's or websites honestly
Yeah no thanks, ill keep my GX Kluger, looks a lot better and has more room/seats, instant turn off when i saw them stupid "knee cap coolers" in the back lol
I know it’s in the eye of the beholder but that vehicle is really not good to look at and the inside isn’t a whole lot better. Probably an ok car but I’m turned off looking at it at least..
That is one mother of an ugly vehicle outside especially and inside. Toyota will not get one dollar of my money for vehicles that continue to look like they should come standard with spew bags. “Looks good on the road” she says but should add “looks a thousand times better under a sheet locked away in a garage never to see the light of day”.

Hey Ana, did you end up getting the Rav4? Which one and how is it so far?
Fovlight yes I did :) rav4 cruiser. I am in love for it! My friend is having a baby and really liked the look and space, so she is wanting to get one for her too :) thank you!!!

Nedahl, this is one of your best reviews! Loved it
US models get more features. Even the top range in oz doesn’t get 360 degree camera, which makes parking a lot easier
hi Nedahl. I love this car only with a body kit. thanks for review

Damn, thought we were going to make it to 3 weeks without a mention of the husband.
How tall is he ? ;-)

@@varnadorel LOL
Finally......a Jeep with Toyota quality! I love it. Could be Oz 's top selling vehicle in the '20s, or 2nd after Hilux.

Can you do a husband's rating?
She keeps clasping her hands.
Kis me
worst NVH performance for a toyota.
Doesn't surprise me. Have you driven it?
Ugly design
Wow Toyota still going backwards in design as per usual. Stick with Mazda.
