    great video! I had so much fun watching. It is really nice to see a pro like Gauzy invest time into something like this and then seems to have so much fun with it.

    This video was one of the big reasons why I actually opted for this setup ~7 months ago, after playing ~1 year with my first cheapish all round bat. Now with better technique and training I'm super happy with this bat. The transition was easier then I had expected. It's quite fast compared to all round blades, but still as precise. The lack of control I still have in some situations is purely on me (footwork!) and not the bat. The spin is incredible. I'm still losing against better players, but most of them struggle at the beginning with my spin until they adapt.
    I feel like, I can easily keep this blade till a very high level of play. Exactly what I wanted. So thanks for that!

    Backhand flicks are amazing! Great explanation on the technique and thought process with the flick.

    I really appreciate your detailed descreptions of the several layers of wood(types).... its often not easy to find in the catalogues for that it is often impossible to learn why some blades should be different at all. Go on!

    wow buddy, I'm really impressed by your level!! I saw you playing against Waldner and Peter Karlson but to be honest, we were quite ridiculous. In this video it seems it's another player. Very consistent... I assume you have a good rank in England.

  • @CesarIntriago1980
    @CesarIntriago1980 6 лет назад +5

    I think the main cause of the challenge you had with high balls was because of the flex of the all-wood blade which requires a different technique. IMHO hitting the ball using your legs > hip > shoulder rather that your arm or wrist will deliver better results with all--wood blades. Strengthening you muscles close to the blade may produce negative results because of the flex. With a stiffer blade (carbon) it is easier to use just your arm or wrist and less body. This is what I currently think is true based on tests and observation. (No formal background).
    This could be one of the best reviews, fun to watch, very informative and compelling. Keep up the good work.

    • @Uniformbogen
      @Uniformbogen 6 лет назад

      Cesar Intriago i would say not hitting only with your arm or wrist is always better and soft blades like the all-gauzy aren't meant to perform well on hitting

    Dan I really think you should make reviews of the blades which are classics. Not only the ones that just appear on the market. Lots and lots of people would be grateful to watch a video review of blades like acoustic, tb spirit, Liu shiwen and so one. The blades which people thinking of buying most. The number of viewers would be sky high. Think about it please..not only the new ones but also the best throw years.. I'd love to watch review of the tb zlf or alc..and see how it plays before buying it..not only to read the review

    I want to buy blade with carbon, now i see this What will be better for me like a final blade? Should i buy this or some 100 $ carbon blade. Please help me with this.

    •  6 лет назад

      Lukáš Šustr if you are new at tabletennis buy yourself a allwood blade than when you have good palying technique, and your footwork is fast and you core is involved in movement and you overcome your palying style then you buy something that suits you the best if you need a carbon blade...and with rubbers is the same thing

      Some coaches do recommend to "moan" when striking the ball, for it allows you to breathe out better while in intense effort. But you're right, top chinese players usually don't do that.
