Skipped the part I was here for. How do I get _the right amount_ of paint on the roller? I always end up with the bottom supersaturated and the top no paint at all. It won't roll, and unless I'm painting a floor (which I'm not) the paint drips down instead of getting on the surface I'm trying to paint.

I just give up, as doesn't matter how much paint I get on the roller all I get is a blob of paint on the wall, so one very small wall, say 150 cm took me 3 hours, and that was resulting in using a brush which was much quicker, but hurt my hand so much I had to keep stopping. I just don't get it, years ago I used to paint all my house with no problems.

Always wash them first. Otherwise, you get fuzz on the walls.
