Fictie en realiteit, maar ook woorden en beelden vloeien samen in het werk van Rinus Van de Velde (1983). Met tekeningen, sculpturen, installaties, foto’s en films bouwt deze Belgische totaalkunstenaar de absurdistische verhalen na die zich in zijn hoofd afspelen. Voor zijn solotentoonstelling The Armchair Voyager bij Voorlinden ‘leent’ hij daarbij werken uit de museumcollectie. Bijvoorbeeld van Kaari Upson, René Magritte en Rodney Graham. With drawings, sculptures, installations, photos and films, this Belgian all-round artist rebuilds the absurdist stories that take place in his head.
