Have the aqua bronze in pale gold but when used it seems to turn back to dust once the water dries.... I can't figure out why. Am I meant to seal it with something? If so. That would have been nice to to know
I got the aquaBronze without knowing😩 its just the powder. How can I turn it inti acrylic? I mixed it w water but it doesnt work w my acrylic painting 🥺
Mix it with a transparent acrylic medium, pretty much any one will do, but it'll probably have to be a gloss finish, because a matte finish will dull the metal shine effect.
looks cool, but would be helpful to see these colors tested over black surfaces as well to give us an idea of their opacity/hiding power. too often metallic colors appear flaky, runny and lack any covering power
Hi there, thank you for your question and comment. We contacted Schmincke and their response was that the bronze medium dries over night to a wipe-resistant surface. I hope this helps, all the best, the Jackson's team
Good evening Pippa, thank you for your question. Are you asking if there is gum arabic in the aqua bronzes already, or if you needed to add it? The binder in the aqua bronze is dextrin glue, a starch-based glue, that is re-wettable like watercolour. Many thanks, the Jackson's team.
hi - the links are above in the description for ordering online. And I'll put them here, too! - • Aqua Bronze at Jackson's: bit.ly/1HiIxXE • Oil Bronze at Jackson's: bit.ly/1NIkwwT • Bronze Medium at Jackson's: bit.ly/1DorAO3
Hi Kyomii, from looking at the video it looks like a watercolour block, however I'm unsure of the brand - I'll get in touch with Schmincke and see if I can find out for you, the video is from a few years ago but hopefully I might be able to get hold of someone that knows! As soon as I have an answer I will let you know. Many thanks, Christine
Hi Kyomii, I've heard back from Schmincke and because the video was from a while ago they cannot specify the paper used. However, the aqua bronze are suitable for use with any fine art paper that is designed for watercolour/gouache. Hope this helps :)
Janet Garcia if you want the effect to be as intense as it appears in the demo then yes it will take a lot of powder, but it can be diluted for a less intense effect.
They should NOT be disposed of into the water system!!! They are highly toxic for any water organisms - long term in smallest amounts. Please only disposexof any unused amounts of mixed paints in your waste basket, NEVER into the sink!
first you choose to demo with the ugliest colour in the range -- silver, which is just grey -- and then, you cant even be bothered to label the swatches so customers know what they are buying.
Thank you for the video! I can't figure out what type of varnish to use for oil based bronzes. Could you please advice?
I just bought it bc it was shiny

Kirah .H i had the same thing with rich pale gold....
@@mimidoll13 same here
i heard in some other video, that if you use too much water, it will dilute the glue too much and not stick to the surface anymore...
I use a binder to make metallic watercolor. Gum Arabic is what you are looking for so it pigment doesn't turn back to dust. HTH

Do you add gum Arabic to any of the aqua bronzes?

Can this be used on yupo paper or with alcohol inks
so much powder for such a little paint. it seems they don't really render a lot.
