Great video! I built the original mechanical version stadium Blitzer when I was 13. I asked my dad for it and he said work for it which I did. I ended up turning into a snow mobile (sort of) and an airboat for shop class in high school. Awesome and fun beginner's vehicle. Now my kids get to build a couple and they're starting out younger than me!
+Basildon Trail Blazing Buddies Thanks! Wish I could run three cars and film at the same time :-) But at least they where together, though they had to be polite little triplets and take turns.
Thank you very much koni san! Love them too! Restoring a original Tamiya Falcon on my channel right now. Videos coming up if you want to check them out.
great video with all three together. i missed the stadium blitzer the first time around but I I made sure I got it on the re re and tbh I love this little truck ESP with the brushless setup installed and proline road rage tyres it a little wheelie rocket.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Yeah, I missed out of them all originally but eventually got them gathered together. Cool with a brushless rere! I have a NIB Stadium Thunder rere waiting to be built. Most likely I will go your way with modern electronics :-) Thanks for watching and commenting, madtopp.
+Pete Wylie Hey Pete. Thank you. I have a NIB Stadium Thunder rerelease waiting. No old brittle plastic on those so that itself is minimizing potential damage. They are made of very hard ABS plastic (not very flexible) so eventually something will break if running them hard. But no known weak spot per se, so with these it just depends on the crash/hit. The gears are known to take everything (brushless etc.) without failing. Those are pretty much bullet proof. The performance capability are worse than worse, but in a good way, keeping the fun factor high :-) The Blitzer Beetle is striking visually.
Ok thanks. I've read a lot that the Monster Beetle and other cars based on the same chassis have quite a weak gearbox. From what you are saying these Falcon based trucks are ok. I've got a Tamiya Lunchbox which has been brushless for about a year now and it's still running fine despite me hammering it to death ! The weak points on that truck are the body posts which are easily sorted with alu ones Anyway keep up the good work with the videos :-)
Yeah, I got a Monster Beetle 2015 too and from what I've heard that gear box will be destroyed even with a 27T brushed silver can in it. Huh. Luckily I've yet to run it and have just pre-ordered the coming MIP differential for it. Sadly MIP will only produce them if they reach 250 preorders at the end of this week, so hopefully ... well, we just have have to wait and see. Yeah, I think the old Grasshoppers, Hornets and Luchbox's can take it all. Same goes with these three Falcon Stadium Trucks. The gears squak/howl a lot when running but they should be able to take it all. Thank you very much for the feedback, much appreciated, hope you will be watching in the future, Pete.
Just visited your channel! Great Lunch Box video! Beautiful footage and editing. Must check out your other videos when time allows. You got a new subscriber! :-)
I did see that video about the MIP diff. Hope they do make it as it will make those kits much more usable if it's as good as they say. Fingers crossed !
Love the video bud!! Maybe sometime I'll get all 3!! Just got my Original Stadium Blitzer today!! One problem the rear tires are dry rotted and ripped :( So question what size are the rear rims 1.9 or 2.2?? Thanks any help would be great my friend :)
Thanks, Chris! You could also just get spare bodies and body mounts and switch them back and forth depending on your mood :-) I believe they are 2.2 but I'm not very used to refering to those sizes so I could be wrong. I believe my Proline Road Hawgs that I use when going on road with these are 2.2. A bit too big for the front, but with glue they make a good fit on the larger rear wheels.
Nordic RC Visions Thanks Simon, I gotta go price out tires now..lol The body idea might work too :) Just wanted to get it running this weekend now I got wait for tires.. It should go pretty good with a 13turn 3000kv brushless setup I think..lol
djduffa Yeah these are all the same chassis, gear box, arms etc etc. Also the same wheels apart from the colour. They use different body mounts though, so in order to switch the bodies you need to switch the front and rear body mounts too (takes a couple of screws). You can even do it with the Bear Hawk body. I have a rerelease NIB Stadium Thunder too and I plan to have several bodies for that one too.
djduffa ... and the two blitzers even use the same colour of plastic (apart from wheels). The Stadium Thunder use red plastic for some parts. Basically if you change the body, the body mounts and the wheels of a Blitzer Beetle with the Stadium Blitzer versions you have a 100% authentic Stadium Blitzer.
Nordic RC Visions also, I'm getting back into rc after being out of it for about 14 years now.. I'm a bit out of touch with it.. so now it's all about brushless motors etc, they was just starting to become more common when I sold a lot of my gear years ago.. so basically my knowledge on brushless is next to nothing, im also looking at getting an on road model and it will req an esc and motor combo, any help on what sorta thing to go for on that front would be excellent.. I may also like to upgrade one of the above models motors in the future too!
djduffa They should be the same, but you should look for xtra parts (like ESC etc). Also if the price for a Blitzer Beetle and Stadium Blitzer is the same, you should opt for the BB with the hard body, as it will require more parts to build an xtra hard body than a lexan body afterwards.
Cosmo 1:35 for a racer, not good, for a fun retro-Tamiya basher, excellent. Bump steer, not enough weight in the front etc and all that - but it’s so much fun. Gears can easily handle powerful motors and it turns on a dime and doesn’t roll/flip that much.
Thanks! And thanks for watching, Matt. The music is from youtube's free audio library. The intro is 'Hero Theme' by MK2 and the funky stuff is 'All Aboard' by Silent Partner.
Hi! Looks awesome :) I'm rebuilding my original stadium thunder at the moment. Can you recommend a local (Aarhus area) shop or at least a danish web shop for parts? Thanks
Anders Nielsen Tusind tak! In my opinion there sadly are no good hobby shops for Tamiya in Denmark. None that I am aware of anyway. There is Midhobby, but stock is low and prices high when it comes to Tamiya.
@@NordicRC Okay. Thanks anyway :) I am planning on switching motor and ESC for a more powerful setup. Can you recommend anything to avoid destroying the gearbox? I remember some kind of grease for the plastic gears in the original build - but I may be wrong about that.
The gears and gear box are really strong. Seen people run it with very powerful motors. Gears will be fine, but the rest of the car may suffer a lot with crashes at high speed. Especially if it’s an original with old brittle plastic. About the grease, I use Tamiya ceramic grease. In theory it should be more heat resistant, but not sure if it makes any difference.
About the Tamiya parts, I can tell that I get all of my Tamiya parts from Tamico, Model Sport UK and Tony’s Tamiya Parts ... if you are comfortable buying outside DK.

So nice to see the triplets playing together.

Good video nice place to show them in action.
Thank you, Robert! It was a lovely trio. Gone now. But at least I got my new Stadium Thunder now.
Brilliant video showcasing 3 beautiful classics! Fantastic! 👍🏻
Thanks a lot, Redbeard!
I love it the tamiya's models, congratulations for your collections
Thank you very much koni san! Love them too! Restoring a original Tamiya Falcon on my channel right now. Videos coming up if you want to check them out.
What a motley crew! Very nice nice video my friend.
+Theibault Thank you very much Omar! Yeah, triplets but not monozygotic :-)
Great video 3 amazing looking RC's by Tamiya, very cool 2 thumbs up.
+Shayen RC Enthusiast. Thank you very much, Shayen!
Good stuff, Mikael. I've been checking out a bunch of your running videos again. Always great viewing. 🙂👍
Thanks, bro! Yeah, this my old trio. Sadly long gone now. But got the new Stadium Thunder now. Just needs painting ... uhh ..,
loving the blitzer beetle, makes me miss mine from all those years ago, great video by the way
+si_ c Yeah they are great fun and visual striking. Thank you very much for the feedback and for watching.

Waiting for xmas to build up my racing fighter. ..
+WolfJetGames It's gonna be a good xmas for you :-) Love the looks of the Racing Fighter. Happy building.
Very nice. Was thinking about getting a re-release Blitzer Beetle for my collection. Are there any notable weak points on them ?

That was quick, thanks very much. I'm off to check out the rest of your videos now :)
Great! Thanks Matt. Hope you find some models you like.
I am torn. Not sure if I should get a Blitzer Beetle or a Kyosho Beetle. I dont know now.

Just like vintage porn three some especially music .
I think you’ve watched too much of that stuff to get that association 😂😂😅😅
I do have a couple of facebook pages, but I'm seldom there
