I've already know some words in korean so whenever I listen to them having conversation I can get 40% percent of what they're saying but I've never learn hangul before. After I bought this tiny tan book I've been having so much fun. It takes times and patience since I also have works but I guarantee its worth it. Honestly korean metaphors are so beautiful once you've learned it. Don't give up familia, it won't be easy but just take it slow and enjoy it 💜💜💜

to help you with Korean:
- how to study Korean (website with free and paid lessons on grammar, the best I've encountered by far)
- talk to me in Korean (website, RUclips channel, podcasts on Spotify)
- reddit (they have better tips than I do lol)
- Korean English men (RUclips channel for Korean culture and food)
I would advise you to get a teacher somehow, especially if you are just starting to learn, so you don't begin with the wrong/weak basis
korean unnie is also good on youtube. and to learn by hangul not romanization.
I would add Naver dictionary (and Papago for translating instead of Google translate)

I am not good at English, so there are times when I only know simple words,
Even though they are from different countries, I think they are reacting while watching bts videos with the same mind.
I am writing this comment using a translator.
I just wanted to say that I always enjoy watching you
When I finally could read hangeul for the first time a year ago, I was so happy even tho I didn't know the meaning of the word yet. But slowly, after so many practices and memorize the words one by one, I can understand some sentences now. Still learning now and still need a lot of practice, but at least when I read articles or tweets in hangeul and watching BTS VLive is more fun now bc I can understand them a little bit.

it's been 5 days since i started learning korean. i can read and write hangeul. i have also learnt some korean expressions, now i am working on my vocabulary and sentence formation. i feel so happy when i can recognise some of the words that bts is saying. 🤗🤗🤗 it still a long way to go. hope i stick to my plan and be fluent in korean some day.

hi familia!! I’m learning korean as well and I wanted to tell you what I use to learn and study💜 there is an amazing book series called “talk to me in korean”, there are nine levels in the main book and there are also workbooks (there are also audio files that go along with the books), I highly recommend it makes it super easy to learn.
I’ve been wanting to tell you guys since I know your learning as well but I didn’t know where to tell you at💜💜

thats amazing! when i learned korean, i started with the alphabets. then i paused EVERY SECOND in every video so i can practice my spelling since korean variety shows including Run BTS have captions all the time. so it really helps me recognizing some words and slangs they used. even some puns too ahhahahah i believe u guys will rock this! goodluck familia!

Watching this after my first online korean class!! When our teacher asked us what made us want to study korean, half of the students (including me ofc) said we wanted to understand what bts is saying during vlives without eng subs🤣 then after that my teacher told us to improve our pronunciation by singing bts' songs while reading their lyrics🤣 glad i had fun too while studying!! Might become handy when i study in korea in the future💜💜

Some advice from a fellow Familia.
You can learn your pronunciation more by watching korean movies or K-drama.
I recommend the movie train to Busan if you guys don't mind horror.
K-drama goblin are good starters for K-drama watching.
There's a lot of k-dramas on Netflix btw.

i know it's difficult in the beginning cuz u dont rly know where or how to start but i think this set is amazing and will help u a lot, also don't rush and take ur time, it gets frustrating sometimes, i remember 2 yrs ago when i was first learning korean i was pretty overwhelmed and scared to make mistakes but remember its okay and u got this!! practice makes the master😘💜

You know i learned a lot of korean language by watching tons of kdrama and of course kpop songs for the past 10years of my life so yeah it is really a very fascinating language and a bit hard BUT if you have strong willpower anything can be learned so good luck guys👍👍👍
Everytime they do voice overs the video instantly turns into a higher quality feel haha Ily familia let’s work hard in learning Korean together I’m currently an intermediate learner self taught and I can basically understand their songs with no trans except for the genius word plays that they add. YASS- I really wanted a reactor to learn at least the Korean alphabet. It took me only a few minutes to learn it. I know about the most basic sound-changing rules and all that good stuff. I wanted a reactor to learn SOME parts of the language so they can get a deeper dive into how they process things, the little number puns by the members, the proper pronunciation of names or at least close to the proper pronunciation, and just to explore a new culture. You really need to master the basics of the basics to create a good foundation. I plan on learning a language--most probably Korean--seriously once our school year is done. Good luck to you and everyone else who wishes to learn ANY language!
