I actually had a discussion with my husband about how I am doing this cash envelope system and I wanted to buy a Budget planner and cute stickers and he said I was crazy because all I need for budgeting is a notebook and a pen. lol I was like well it’s a bit of an investment but it’s going to help me save money and it makes it fun. I also don’t buy a whole lot of envelopes right now just the ones I need and I get the ones that are $1.00 each on Etsy. Everyone budgets differently and we shouldn’t judge anyone the way they spend THEIR MONEY 🥰

I love colored pens and such! At work, when tracking payments from clients on a big report, I use probably three different colors of Flair felt tips (my favorite) …. 😂. I’m sure others would not but …. 🤷🏻♀️
My “Treat Yourself” envelope would really bug people then. I’m all about markers, highlighters, and pens. I’m always trying new pens, being a visual person makes all the difference with color. I said, “And?” at the same time. 😁

I’ve been watching a lot of your videos - both old ones and the more recent ones but I don’t think I’ve heard you talk about the answer to the question I’m about to ask you: When you take money to the bank, or for some categories that you prefer kept in the bank (like gas, money that you have placement cards in your envelopes, etc.), do you also have them categorized into separate bank accounts? Hi! So I only have one savings account that I put all of the money that I have placeholders for. I keep track of it all with the placeholders in my envelopes. The money I keep in the bank for bills and gas that just stays in my checking. For me this has been working pretty well🤗
You can I’ve seen some on Mercari and Poshmark but the ones that are affordable are customized and sometimes the customizations don’t work for everyone. The things I see the most on these sites are new limited edition items that sell out fast so they raise up the price to more than what the original site sells…not a fan of that 😅 but I did buy mine with a 10% off code since it was my first purchase so I didn’t pay full price🎉 you can also find dupes of these products on Amazon, quality is not the same but the price is way more affordable
