How I first got into robot combat was back in 2015, ABC had their summer Sunday funday program where they aired celebrity family feud then BattleBots right after. The trailer looked so cool with bots fighting and destruction, so my dad and I both watch the show and it was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. 9 years later here we are today and I still cannot believe battlebots is still a thing, i really thought it was only one season and that's it, but I freaked out in joy seeing the gears awaken special episode trailer knowing a second season is coming and then discovery renewing it for s3.

Thank you for sharing your story and keeping all of us updated…That’s insane and even more frustrating why Discovery hasn’t brought this show back yet..I would’ve thought Discovery was paying these guys a lot more than that. The overhead for Discovery to produce this show is relatively low…the builders and drivers deserve to paid a lot more then what they are getting. I wonder if that’s what the hold up is…can’t wait to see you guys back on TV soon I hope.
If anything it’s a passion, labor of love.
I have a similar story except I went to a trade school for plumbing
Plumbing is a great career. Just ask Matt Maxham from Team Plum crazy. He found that it was something he could easily do and make decent money. Him and his wife Wendy have become pillars of the sport.

I raced karts professionally for 15 years, and I've told people for years that it's the worst time you will ever have the most awesome time you can ever have and the most pissed off you can ever be in the exact same time. I know the feeling.
You always shine and ur wife . And you still have senses.with your language even tho it is a natural language. Me, I do not have almost any sense of natural languages. You are an amazing individual. This is why I am watching this. Thank you. It is a lot to me and to all of us. I do not understand natural languages unlikely most of the others do but I think I understand what you are talking about.

This is a great window outside of the box
Nice video. I think there are others like you. George Francis who built Chaos2 comes to mind. As a self-made electronics engineer, most amazing to me is he built Chaos2 for an initial £350 ($500 back in the day). It was an earlier, less destructive generation of robots of course but Chaos2 was the Hydra of its time and won the UK's Robot Wars two times in a row. Certainly it won the best flippin' bang for its bucks.

The new thing might be the battlebots housebot! It's similar to the nhrl house bot but like 600lb and looking to be controversial as fuck.
Also most kits are great and are a cheap way to enter the sport! I managed to win an ant tournament on my first try with a scalar kit.

Tombstones suppose to and Biteforce is retired.
