Morgan is as country as the next country artist, but lets be honest there aren't a whole lot of artists who grew up on the farm operating an International Harvester, observing that Amarillo sky, or doing half the stuff we enjoy hearing about. That's more so proven because the folks singing about that stuff didn't write the 75% of the songs they release. I'd bet 95% of the folks who listen to country had a phase where they weren't country either because they were trying to impress or fit in. All these cats can sing their asses off and are musicians through and through. MW will probably outgrow the emphasized twang, or his next hit wont sound like it has as much twang because those songs arent on the radio much like Justin Moore's album vs his singles. Enjoy this music for what it is youthful, energetic music with a southern flare, and in 15 years we'll all be referring to this being the golden age of country before whatever it is then that comes out. List of artists who werent real country music: Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, shoot they were even saying Hank Jr. wasnt country enough at one time.
