Dear Deutschland Sender.....I don't speak proper German and believe you will not understand fully how deep my appreciation is for your channel and for all of the phenomenal music and archived film clips....Voonderbar!....I may have got that wrong in spelling but not in what I feel when listening.... I need to mention this....as I have pondered a couple thoughts before but was never inclined to comment until now... It is no secret that the love of music breaks all boundaries and barriers between people....regardless of wealth....position.....age...gender....religious beleif...occupation...where one resides....etc...etc....Music transcends all the limitations and baggage that we put in our path....sometimes due to ignorance...other times a lack of understanding or pre-conceived prejudice...... I am an American that Served in the Military for 27 plus years.....I was fortunate to be stationed in Germany on several occasions.....I have a fascination with German history and Culture....My ancestors mostly originated in what was once the Hapsburg Empire....Austria..Hungary...Lithuania....East Prussia..... And with this....I must state that my family on both sides was of the Jewish faith.....mostly Reform.... My older relatives were extremely proud of their German background and even had one distant Great Aunt that displayed her decorations for serving as a nurse for the German Army during WW1..... Why would you ask.....that I would bring this up? I grew up as a child in Post WW2 Cold War time frame......Germany was in the news.....the Berlin Wall.....Germany split it two.....always the reminder of just the bad things that happened during the Nazi period...... Folks were guarded about talking the German people......add to this......that there were many who wanted to forget Germanies history and the German people where subjected to being silenced and not discussing or understanding much about the times after the 1st World War when Germany was betrayed and the end of the 2nd World War in the Spring of 1945. When I came of age....joined the US. Army and was stationed in Germany.......it became very evident that there was a void or rift between us American Service men and the majority of the German people.....l promised myself that I would not fall into that mindset of distrust.......blame.....guilt.....anger.....lack of respect.... I associated with the people on a one to one basis with little regards for sterotypes and pre-conceived notions..... I did my best to break down those walls.....not so dissimilar to the ones separating beautiful Berlin and West Germany from the prison the Communists had built in the east. elders I learned to not judge the youth by the mistakes caused by their parents........I found that we could forgive and also not to forget.... But also not to forget and ignore the cultural...scientific....humanitarian contributions the German people have contributed to the World we live in..... And of course.....this fantastic swing era music and priceless film footage....... Thank-you......and GOD bless you. .... I hope some of the younger generation will read this this...... Be careful.........listen to the Rightous among us.....history has a strange way of repeating itself.
What would I give to get myhands on that Telefuncken marvel, sunken into the floor!! In Europe 10 years ago, you could find things like that, if you were able to transport them home.
2:51 A scene, a get-together, a picture, a constellation, a group portrait, a moment in time the like of which we'll never see again.

Beautifully spoken 😊
Love Will Glahe! Have some of his albums from the 60s & 70s. Cheers from Australia.
Very nice little film, showing the beautiful small german villages.
MfG.
Happy days before today ' s nightmares
Happy days in the movies and records, not so much in real life.
So true and what a waste, so much lost.

Hübsches Filmchen!
Thankss again.

Looks like the region called "Oberfranken" in Germany. The villages there look still the same
Wetterau. Nahe Frankfurt/M. Und wenn Franken, wäre Unterfranken passender...
Thanks
hahaha...
Very nice!
Lovely
A current model Mercedes-Benz 320 drop-head coupe featured in this film.
Super extra Film. Brawo. Jarek Parzych z Ełk w Polsce
Entzückend! Da war die Welt noch in Ordnung!
It was pretty messed up by 1938. Unfortunate thing but true.
I hope they weren't driving to Poland.
Was the film with the man changing the tire from a movie?

Toimii 😊😊
Ooh
De fungerar

A tour in the terrible countryside
Thanks
