Beautiful documentary and cinematography, much love to Tigray as a Somali considering all the hardships that has happened sense this documentary was created
I pray that all of the Tigrayan people in this video are safe.
My prayers for the people of Tigray. We haven't heard any news from any of my in-laws who live there in months. There's almost no communication outside the region, and now food and medicine are scarce.
wow this is why i love the north face. we from north
4 months after this video was published the Ethiopian government launched a genocide on the people of Tigray. In the last 8 months, thousands of civilians have been slaughtered, countless women violated, millennia old artifacts destroyed (including some featured here) and now millions of Tigrayans are facing a man made famine (orchestrated to exterminate the Tigrayan population). I'm devastated wondering what fate might have met the Tigrayan's featured in this video.
AMAIZING, you are the most well come family. I know you hear about Tigray please be voice for the VOICELESS.
Tigray is currently facing genocidal war, many people have died, and continuing to die due to mass killings, airstrike and hunger. Many of Tigray’s ancient churches like this one are bombed and looted of their historical treasures
Not true
@@M1ndfulJourney u are sick,go see a doctor
It is better to ignore people that have been blinded by hate .They will be inevitably be humiliated when the world gets access to Tigray and sees the atrocities that Ethiopia, Eritrea and Amhara forces committed in Tigray.
@@sammy2793 you mean make up atrocities 🙄
Afwerki will pay...
I would like to thank you on behalf of the people of Tigray for you great documentary film, but I have a comment, your documentary would be better if you could have used Tigrayans sound track instead of Amharic. Thank you for the great work.
do you know the name of the song? is it on youtube or any other platform?
The point of the first sound in amharic was that 'the blood in our hearts is one' which seems like you missed. Although this is a documentary about Tigray I appreciate how it includes different regions.
The music is as beautiful as the landscape. 🥰
Tigray 💛❤️
spiritually incridible and powerfull moment
This is a beautiful video . Thank you very much for sharing
One of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen ❤️

Great climbing, beautiful music
Humanity Is so beautiful
and simultaneously ugly
Whats the name of the music
Beautiful
Powerful
the music in the background is not a local song. It's from the very hostile neighboring region of Amhara. You guys should have used tigrinya song.
do you know the name of the song? is it on youtube or any other platform?
whats the name of this song??
17:28min
Where did the video from the climbing in Ennedi, Chad, go? With Honnold, James, and some more. I cannot find it anywhere.
What's the music in the intro
and meanwhile Tigray is under invasion not so long after this Video was released.
Great! One comment is that you should have used the local music, TIgrigna. In fact, you should have used Orthodox Christian music, instead of Protesntant. With that, you would have respected the spirit of the landscape. The Music is foreign to Orthodox Christian Tigrayans. But, still wonderful; I have been there several times and miss it.
What is the song in the intro???
Could you please ID the tracks used in the video? They are impossible to find

I can’t find the one in the beginning but this one in the middle I’ve put the link in. I remember listening to it when my mum used to take me Ethiopian Orthodox Church as a child 😅 x

Whats the music in the intro
Fantastic work, except the music should have been Tigrigna, which is the local language of the area.
Songname pls
That first tower is sketch. Rock climbing or dried mud? Just make sure you keep taking the little one out when he can remember. Epic family trip.
Where is this accent from?
France the girl England the man
Was homeboy priest rocking a Rolex?
Take notes people, this is the only way to get out of our situation.
The background music should be in the local's language
The song is Amharic tho…
@Adam Griss. The last news I heard was from November. The civil war has shifted heavily in favour of the Tigray & their allies & they were pressing South to Addis Ababa after driving government troops from Tigray in June. They are also pushing East, hoping to take the road that connects to the port in Djibouti. That will give them control of a key supply route.
The government has declared a state of emergency & is urging citizens to pick up arms to defend the capital & now, the Tigrayans have joined forces with another so called 'rebel' group, The Oromo Liberation Army & foreign officials monitoring the fighting are reporting several Ethiopian Army Units retreating.
Unfortunately along with devastating famines, Ethiopia has a long history of violence due in part to the large numbers of different ethnic tribes & a succession of corrupt governments coming into power through a mixture of electoral fraud, cronyism, influence peddling and Kleptocracy. This has pretty much led to the whole country sometimes labelled a 'Mafia State'.
Sadly I cant see this beautiful country becoming either peaceful or stable for a long time.
Few months after this video was produced the Ethiopian regime announced its genocidal campaign against the people of Tigray, their cultural, historic, and religious heritages. It’s been almost 2 years by now since Tigray has been disconnected from the rest of the world. In light of what the Ethiopian regime done and the complicity of the people of Ethiopia, Ethiopia has lost Tigray and its heritages forever. Tigray will and shall prevail
Praying for the people of Tigray. The Ethiopian government has created a man made famine causing millions to be killed, starved, & raped. Many historical sites in these mountains have been looted also.
This seemed like a weird selfish thing these two have done weird things before unfortunately. Great climbers though. Pray for Tigray.
