There were periods of my life when people would tell me I sounded more like Ace Frehley than Ace Frehley, then that I sounded more like Jake E Lee, and many years later they would say I sounded more like Yngwie than Yngwie. It's no detriment to show your influences. We all have a debt of respect and gratitude to these legendary players.

Also, about that Pride and Glory album, one of my favourite parts is the solo in the second half of “Shine On”. It’s so clear and articulate that I always thought it was a great guitar lesson. Yeah we spent one afternoon together in Finland back in the day arranged by a Finnish music magazine. We had lots of fun, played some guitar and drank many (probably too many) beers 😎. We’ve both been sober for years now but that was then 🙏. One of the most down to earth and funniest guys I’ve ever met 👌.
Yeah it turned out we had all the same influences; Rhoads, Frank Marino, Alvin Lee etc. He took it with a humour when I told (half joking) him that he sounds quite a bit like me 😁.
Euge, you sound better than the man himself. BUT in his defense: he wrote it! :) 14:41 I still regret that there never was a sophomore album to the only P&G album. Honestly for me there is no BLS solo that comes near this one, but maybe I am just too nostalgic?
