@Charcoal Monkey Nice build!!... I am planning on a similar setup for my car with dual 1220 JBL stage subwoofers. Can you suggest to me which one is better 10 inches or 12 inches? I have no concern about boot space being occupied by speaker cabinet.
How much power do you think these could handle for music? I have a true 3000w amplifier and I also have a 6th order bandpass that I would be using these drivers in.
These subs are just about 250w rms each. You should get serious subs like Sundown, DD, DB, Skar or anything that can handle at least a kilowatt each sub.

There are amps that supports lower impedance in bridge mode. Actual impedance is measured on the load. You have to use a multitester and test every load you may want to hook up.

I dont think the problem is with the subwoofer or the JBL's, but the fact that you're trying to record deep powerful bass and play it back on RUclips, likely distorting the microphone etc. Just go watch other "basshead" videos with huge 10,000 watt bass competition systems, the sound on RUclips sucks, but they are NOT distorting when you listen to them in person. RUclips can never be used to judge sound quality....

Get the Alpines. JBL is just a budget subwoofer.

LOL no difference in how they sound. The difference between single vs DVC are: Power handling, impedance matching and impedance flexibility.
