The saddest thing about that second skill is that we have a bunch of servants that give the same crit up amount but it's party wide. The guts is also a problem since it increases the cooldown of the battery and attack up combo.
Honestly he should have been ST because then he could have the title of being the only ST quick SSR archer and his crits would be way more relevant since you rarely need them in farming.

Man, I've never heard you sound so disappointed. I feel you; personally I no longer get hyped for new Servants because of the recent track record of their releases ever since the Ibuki Apocalypse. She's so good she makes everyone who came out afterwards follow this simple rule: they're either disappointing/lackluster/boring/needless-copycat, or they're broken. Most have been the former, and Nitocris Alter is the only real exception because she's Nito and her kit is interesting enough to set her apart. Pope Johanna was the final nail in my coffin, which is a shame because in a vacuum she seems neat - we just don't live in that vacuum.
I guessed he was going to be AoE Quick because we haven't had an Archer since Sei, and Sei isn't known to be the best looper. It was either that or Arts, but even I didn't think they'd be so obtuse as to release yet another AoE Arts looper.
Still, all signs point to Lasagna's design team being in trouble. Rumour has it they're understaffed...maybe that's the reason, maybe there's more to it, there probably is, and all we can do is hope it starts moving towards a resolution soon.
i guess for people that are long time players these kind of servants are the worst, they have literally zero unique stuff about them besides how they look and just become incredibly forgetful, i bet we won't even remember this release by the same time next year

feel like he's going to be disappointed by the arcade servant too, it will probably be Tiamat but she's likely just very good but not broken too, the expectation is just too high to not result in disappointment, next broken servant is probably anniversary tbh.

not every servants has to be broken to be good but with out bad servants we wouldn't have good ones, kinda like when everyone is special no one is

I'll say the worst thing about him in my opnion is his one passive that boosts his arts performance and the boost from his np, when he only has one arts card.
Which luckily has the NP gain of an Ereshkigal Arts Card

I mean, what else could have they given him? make his third skill a targetable one? make his np buff party wide? I mean, 50% crit is good, and 20% color buff is alright, but he isn't really fully in that support role like he teases himself to be
My man could have at least gotten a damage mod if they were going to make him an offensive servant, because you kinda need something like that to stand out nowadays :/

What we need is a Quick version of Nobukatsu who just buffs the hell out of Takasugi and makes him dummy OP.

I'm on copium and I'm hoping that they give him some nice buffs in the near future. I feel like he's missing quite a bit in the current meta.
Still, I'm gonna roll for him regardless. It's more satisfying to roll for favorites over meta sometimes. I'm hoping for NP5!

I feel like every year we get a strong anniversary servant, 1 or 2 strong story chapter servant(s), a strong summer servant, a strong new year's servant (although Kirei is not particularly great) and a bunch of average power level but usable flavor servants. Honestly I'm not sure I hate it as a borderline F2P player. I play a couple gacha games where they release a new servant every 2 months or so and obsoletes everybody before them and I hate that. It's probably bad for those that spend and want to summon strong servants frequently though.
Re: Takasugi himself, he has a NP that stacks crit strength like Super Orion/Van Gogh but at lower levels but also does damage. I imagine with triple Skadi's he'll crit super hard on turn 3 while being able to clear wave 1 and 2 with his NP. The problem is you can't guarantee having his cards on turn 3. This is where they are trending with quick servants I think, having AOE NP that does basic looping for standard nodes and have super strong crits that do mad damage similar to ST NP.
Yeah I expected them to up to power creep since Kukulkan is dummy broken and tezca is to a lesser degree but still very strong. But then again those are both very important story servants so makes sense they are very strong.
@@GoobieWoobie69 Remember last year JP got Arceuid, Lady Avalon, Summer Ibuki, Summer Skadi, AND Rikyu in like a 3 month period around anniversary and summer and honestly I expect something similar too. I don't get people feeling mad that there are a couple decent but not amazing servants with Pope Jo and Takasugi following a really good assassin in Tez and a broken foreigner with Kuku. It's perfectly ok to have some optional servant banners to let people save some quartz.
I mean, if you look at his NP and farming only, you may be disappointed. But Jesus Christ, the amount of crit damage he has with his skills, passives and NP effects combined with 4 hits on each card and his other offensive buffs turns him into a monster.
Its basically Hyoun zhou (the thicc assassin chic), a kit thats meant to be for ST but he is given an AOE np just to make sure he is mid. Also she has better skills since she is not confused with trying to be a mini support unlike this dude here with his low AOE buffs
Everything he does, rikyu can do better, by being a chaotic evil berserker

I had the same reaction this morning, I was wondering what was his skillset and his NP that hey didn't even show. So disappointing but my SQs are safe for Arthur I guess.
if he make the skill too op it will close the potential for it to have a rank up skill in the future having the power to compete is already enough for now seeing that they can't keep making an OP servant everytime and making another one to render the old one less efficient.. it will only end up leaving the old servant to dust way too fast.. this thing is already common knowledge anyway so i kind of understand
He’s actually the best AOE Quick Archer though (SSR Wise anyway). Plus his animations are cool.
His only competition is Sei Shonagon, it's not that hard to dethrone her.

I just np5 and 10/10/10 him. I would say he's with waver and skaddi is some insane damage tho it's pretty sad he only has a 30%np gauge. BESIDE, HIS ANIMATION IS VERY COOL

Dude I don’t get why people are calling him mid? He’s the first quick Ssr archer we’ve had in some time and he has really strong crit support that he can use on himself or another unit. The cooldown reduction is a very rare skill that few servants have still, and he has an overcharge buff. Honestly the only mid thing about his kit is skill 3 because the battery is small and the cooldown is too long. If it was targetable or 50% solo he would be perfect all around.

Cause he doesn't really do anything special that would make you use him over someone else. As a looper, Atalante beats all the AoE Quick Archers. As a crit Archer, that's a stacked category with his main competition being Ishtar who he is not beating. His party support is nothing to write home about so why use him over a superior unit
bruh, what you said is literally the definition of "mid" at best high mid. overcharge is pretty pointless as a quick normal class, like, both skadi don't benefit much from it. cooldown reduction is rare but it's like... and? not to mention that a bunch of servants nowadays give party wide 50% crit for 3 turns (fricking mata hari and barth give 3 turn team wide 50%) team 20% face card is also nothing special. then his np only give face card buff for 1 turn.

@@brucewayne8550I'm confused why you think he is not beating Ishtar on crit damage, he has 99%, 129%, and 159% crit damage buff on turn 1-3. Ishtar has a flat 30%. Atalante gets better refund than him but he will loop just fine too, he has more NP damage and much more card damage than Atalante. I can absolutely see him be the best archer for 90++ because of his crit damage while being able to loop earlier waves.

Fact is I am just sad because I ain't summoning on him. Because I have Gilgamesh MP3, he is just going to do me better than this dude.
Same, I have Tesla NP5, soon to be NP6. And Tesla has great party utility as well. And Gilgamesh NP3 hits like a world-ending meteor. This guy needs to either become a better DPS, a better support, or get a unique gimmick.
