For me F&B wins hands down. Every item on the plate outshines the other. Don’t laugh but I’ve never even heard of a calzone till now! I like the look of it. Thanks for this one combo king. 👍
Hello, EIE Wow, Frankie and Benny's calzone was amazingly delicious. The bolognase sauce looked super. The garlic butter dough and salad had me craving. Pizza Express looked OK, but just that. Thank you for a great video. it is always appreciated 😊😊
F&B, The presentation of the meal was excellent, not just greens on the plate. Looked better than the PE one, but wouldnt turn either down! Thank you xx
Hi from super-sunny Los Angeles 🙋♀️ You surprised me! At Pizza Express, I really thought you would stuff the salad greens into the calzone, pick it up and eat it sandwich style! F&B was deffie the vote grabber today!
Lovely to see you, a Calzone is a new one on me ! The pizza express Calzone was well presented & i liked the added bacon, the side salad would benefit from having sliced red onion & grated carrot & beetroot added. Very good recommendation with the blood orange san pellegrino this is one of my favourite soft drinks. The Frankie & Benny's Calzone was well presented too! Loved the filling with this & the additional bolognese sauce was lovely, overall this was the better of the 2 meals & more substantial too, so this is the winner for me ! I enjoy eating out & will definitely try a Calzone if seen on the menu. Thank you for sharing this great review, take care 💜
Looks great! The F&B one looks more filling. Do you get permission to film before you go in? I just recognised a few of the venues and live near so was curious. Nice to see you are local to me :)
I agree. Both looked good, but I liked the look of the Frankie offering and the dip probably made this. I'll have to try something similar soon. I might go with a mild chilli though.
The second joint wins because they gave you a knife that can cut through the food you ordered. Deep-fried panzerotti over baked calzone for me every time though; can't beat the combination of crispy dough and the oozing melted cheese inside!
Nduja originates from Spain not Italy. Calzone is pronounced Calzoney. F&B's for me too, cheaper and more care on the plate. I don't consider opening a supermarket bag of rocket and dumping leaves on a plate with no dressing a salad. F&B far superior. And the Calzone looked well made shaped like a Cornish Pasty.
It's Cal-zone-a. You need to go to a proper good independent Italian restaurant to get a decent one. And you wouldn't get all that other stuff on the plate to try and make it look bigger than it is.
I think the second was more substantial and could keep you going for a few days. The first was lighter, especially with all that greenery-which I would have loved.
Never really understood calzone , it's basically a pizza pasty 🤣 Oddly pizza is finger food but the correct way to eat a calzone is with a knife and fork so maybe food for those that don't like to get messy 😁 Good comparison but not sure I'd pay those prices.
It's controversial, but I'd prob prefer Pizza Express. Am not really a dough person, or much carbs in general, but in the past, I always enjoyed that precise meal at Pizza Express ~ & I still love rocket salad. F&B's has never appealed to me, but the one here looked clean & calm
F & B definitely was the better one. With extra sauce and a proper side salad as well, not to mention the calzone looked properly filled. The pizza express one looked a bit sad next to it, with a lack of filling and just some rocket and dressing that looked like an afterthought to make it look like there was more to the meal. When you get side salads like that, i think they don't expect you to actually eat it. It's just there for presentation and a bit of a waste of food.
Don't know for definite but think it's pronounced calzonee. Enjoyed your video but I'm unconvinced by either destination. Used to love pizza but struggle to get interested in them now, in fact, the very thought of them acts as a great appetite suppressor 😢😢
Considering Pizza Express charge so much, they need to up their game considerably as they are no longer the best, that sorry excuse of a salad said it all really!!!
it is just a pity it can not be weighed. size is hard to judge on screen the thing comes it may have less in that than what is put on a pizza pepperoni is in aldi for 99p a pack. so it is cheap. for pizza express being £20.20. its more than getting a steak. and how many take away pizzas at your local can you buy. you could get 4 Wetherspoons chicken strip burgers and chips and a drink (my local £4.91) it seem a big bit of a rip off paying over £20 for just a pizza for one person.. when you are really just having a sandwich. how can this be worth £20.20 or £18.30 it is easy for frankies since its almost £2 cheaper. But still think its too much money for what you are getting
Pizza express not a real calzone. A proper one Needs ricotta and mozz and lots! Where is the marinara sauce? The orange drink looks good though. Fand b same. Looks like a stuffed pizza not a calzone. At least you get a dressed salad and bolognese dip.

Which one did you prefer?
Comment Below 😀
Franky & Bennies for me by a long shot. The Pizza Express one was overpriced for what you got. The calzone had more air than filling.
I think I'll be paying my local Frankie and Benny's a visit for a calzone xx
I think the Frankie & Benny’s looked much nicer and way better value for money.
F & B for me too.
For me F&B wins hands down. Every item on the plate outshines the other. Don’t laugh but I’ve never even heard of a calzone till now! I like the look of it. Thanks for this one combo king. 👍
Give it a try and see what you think
Congratulations on 12K btw. Loving your unique content.
Thanks 😀
Hello, EIE
Wow, Frankie and Benny's calzone was amazingly delicious. The bolognase sauce looked super. The garlic butter dough and salad had me craving. Pizza Express looked OK, but just that. Thank you for a great video. it is always appreciated 😊😊
Frankie and bennys definitely looked loads better than pizza express!
It felt like a more hearty meal!
Surprisingly I would go for the F & B one. Can't believe how steep Pizza Express has got!!
Its getting expensive everywhere now 😮
F&B, The presentation of the meal was excellent, not just greens on the plate. Looked better than the PE one, but wouldnt turn either down! Thank you xx
I wouldn't turn down either too

You surprised me! At Pizza Express, I really thought you would stuff the salad greens into the calzone, pick it up and eat it sandwich style! F&B was deffie the vote grabber today!
I can't believe I didn't think of that lol I will have to do it next time!

Its definitely worth a try the next time you're eating out
Alway enjoy your vids…keep up the good work😀👍🇬🇧
Thanks 😀
Yes I would agree on the second one looked the best.
Looks great! The F&B one looks more filling. Do you get permission to film before you go in? I just recognised a few of the venues and live near so was curious. Nice to see you are local to me :)
I just go in and film lol
@@everydayimeating3407 nice :) keep it up, really enjoying your videos!
Frankie and bennys for me too looked delicious and thanks for another great video mate keep them coming 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! Will do
Frankie & Benny's is the correct answer.
I agree!
I agree. Both looked good, but I liked the look of the Frankie offering and the dip probably made this. I'll have to try something similar soon. I might go with a mild chilli though.
Its definitely worth a try if you go to Frankie and bennys

I always like the Calzone at Zizzi's
Definitely the frankie and bennys it looked delicious and the salad looked great too.👍💯💥✨️
The salad was actually good
Frankie and Bennys takes it for me! Top video as always …. Smithy
Thanks 😀
The orange drink - I like that brand! ❤
Its a good drink!
Yeah Frankie and Benny's one looked a lot more appetizing to me suprised really. I will have to go down to my local one and order it.
I was surprised I liked them more too
Edges first, leave the middle till last. Yummy
Thats a good strategy!

I think the Pizza Express dressing should have been mixed into the salad.
I think so too
Frankie and bennys for me. Looked delicious 😋😁😁
It was delicious 😋
San pellegrino blood orange. My favourite
It was really nice
your channel will blow up if you get chinese subtitles - i don't speak it but alot of students in leeds that would love this
I’ve never heard of a calzone,
Looks very tasty though .
Its a tasty meal 😋
I'd always pronounced it cal-zone-ay is it just cal-zone? 😂
cal-zone-eh, as in "Bez" 😉
🤷♂️ maybe you're right, who knows lol
It's Cal-zone-a. You need to go to a proper good independent Italian restaurant to get a decent one. And you wouldn't get all that other stuff on the plate to try and make it look bigger than it is.
Was Freshly grated parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper offered in both restaurants?
From memory PE do.
They were not offered in either 🤔 maybe I should have asked?
The Frankie and Bennys calzone to me is the best out of the 2 you tried.
I think so too
I think they both looked good, although the bolognese sauce was a nice addition.
When you cut into the first one,it seemed to deflate like a soufflé.
The first one did look great but it did deflate after cutting into it lol
I think the second was more substantial and could keep you going for a few days. The first was lighter, especially with all that greenery-which I would have loved.
Dressing did look a bit sad on the first one 😮 never had or heard of calzone but second one looked tasty 👍
Fair enough if you have never had a Calzone, but you never even heard of one really???

I feel the same way about calzones as I do about New Yorkers folding pizza. Why would you hide all the flavour inside the dough?
Italians fold their pizza , it's the correct way to eat them 🤣
F & B definitely was the better one. With extra sauce and a proper side salad as well, not to mention the calzone looked properly filled.

I like Pizza Express, however F&B's won it for me looked bigger, tastier and just looked better.
I agree!
Frankiese🎉
Me too!
Isn’t that the new ‘clear’ CocaCola? 😂
I had my suspicions when it came in the Coca Cola glass lol

N’duja sausage is a spreadable sausage mostly as it’s chock full of olive oil!! Not a solid sausage as we’re used to in this country
Didn't like the look of either.Flying pizza used to be good for decent pizza but l have not been there for years.
I need to give it a go
Considering Pizza Express charge so much, they need to up their game considerably as they are no longer the best, that sorry excuse of a salad said it all really!!!

The pronunciation is calzoneh.
Pizza express should to be good…not really anymore.
Too expensive.
Captioning made a bit of booboo on the first place and said the calzone cost you 202 pounds. Which might be a bit out of even your range.
It would have to be made of gold for that price lol
Love Italian Calzone(calzonay). Hate American Calzone , maybe it’s just their mispronunciation , but nothing new there .
F&B
Me too
Pizza express isn’t fancy at all 😂
And that’s not a ‘salad’ omg!
Pizza Express is way too expensive
It is getting expensive to eat out

Blood orange tory Tango. Yuck.
I think everyone understands what a calzone is bro
I doubt it, many of the hard core “sausage, eggs and chips brigade” probably wouldn’t have a clue.
