I had an entrance a little over 5 minutes after the start of a show and was running a bit behind due to pre-show responsibilities so I finished getting ready and sprinted to make it to my starting spot and got there the EXACT instant I had to walk on stage. So I can understand being late too, it's not fun XD

Hi Carrie! When you first start a show, like when you do the dress rehearsals etc - are you given a guideline on your makeup look for the production? Like does a professional show you a design chosen from the costume design or production team and it's your job to recreate that each night; or are you just given freedom to create your own makeup look? Would be really interesting if you did a video about this :) Hope you're having a fab day x
Usually a make-up designer will design all the make-up for the show and then teach the actors how to do it (I'm currently studying make-up for film and theatre)
Her costume is so different from other Wednesdays' that have been in productions around the world. For example the traditional musical version of Wednesday Addams has short hair instead of the iconic plaits (in the original tryout production her plaits were cut during a song but that number was removed from the musical and from then on Wednesday sported the bob cut from the start of the show). My point being that this production looks like it might be very different to is predecessors, as I've never seen the necklace before. My only guess is that her engagement ring is on it. Someone please let me know if you've managed to go see the UK production! I am bursting with curiosity
I live in the UK and I'm pretty sure it's an engagement ring on the necklace. Another thing I love about the UK version is the changes they made to the ancestors so they have more colour and variety, and actually have names!

Jocelyn makes sure the corset isn't laced too tightly, although it still affects her singing when she's singing certain lines, like the end of "Pulled".
I'd say the main thing the corset would affect is just the size of your breaths? Everything else should still be achievable (although I've never worn a corset so I'm not sure how much it might affect your muscles)
When actors put on corsets they just have to take in a deep breath with their ribs expanded and tighten the laces in that position, so that when they relax there will be enough room to take a big singing breath onstage
So great. Been doing amateur theatre, but it's such a feeling when they do the call outs. Sends shivers down my spine, missing being on stage soo much!

I played Wednesday in our college production in Shrewsbury and it's such an amazing part, I loved singing it and you do it justice!
