  • After being acquired by Six Flags, Inc. in the 90s, Fiesta Texas underwent several yearly expansions to provide a well-rounded theme park experience. These included the addition of four marquee roller coasters from 1997 to 2000, several children's and flat rides, new waterpark attractions and more. Join us as we navigate the 2000 season and look at the two coasters that never happened.

There was actually a third coaster that never got built. When Gaylord sold the park to USAA at the end of 1993, they had a 10 year master plan developed by 1994 in which the boardwalk was going to get a racing wooden coaster that would travel all the way to the employee entrance and back.

Its looking like Canyon Blaster might arrive as a skyline family coaster in 2023 ⁉
With the confirmation that bumper cars are leaving for future expansion, A skyline attractions Family Coaster would fit perfectly, maybe even a racing model for family's and a upgrade to the kids area... With there CEO meeting with skyline at IAAPA, I think this could be a spot on prediction

Nooooo to ToGo. While Ultra Twister was at my "home park" AstroWorld had to re-design the lift for a 45 degree ascent. The hydraulic oil had to be changed for the Houston, TX climate from New Jersey. AW got a lot of "left overs" but improved them. Fiesta was the new "darling" It got bigger better rides because the park could expand. I'm glad they went with B&M.

I'm glad superman reigned Supreme..However I enjoyed ultra twister very, very much at Astroworld..It was my 2nd favorite coaster at that park..The first was XLR8 and 3rd was tx cyclone..yes tx Cyclone was 3rd...probably because I was 14 yrs old and scared to ride it.. lol...if you would've asked me in my 20s it would definitely be a different rating..😢

I think the Togo coaster would have been pretty cool, only because it would've eventually been removed and replaced with something better. Who knows where that would've went!

You should do rides that didn’t go to Six Flags Over Texas.

I thought you may mention King Cobra from King's Island when discussing Togo. It was a pretty successful ride for it's time.

Nope.. Superman is easy better... I'd like to know their plans for themes around the park. Looks like they are really trying for a steam punk theme.. I keep hoping for more DC and WB Toons... Maybe Rockville into Smallville.. but keeping the same timeliness..
