Wow what an awesome aquascape and use of gsp at the bottom. It’s like a reef tank like one of those Japanese freshwater tanks. Amazing! Hope your tank flourishes and you get to see the rocks full of corals and a bed of gsp. This is an idea I would love to try
I saw this video popped up, and I was like, no you didnt. Sorry brotha, things happen, i know you have laboureded with this tank for years, and it was coming along so great. I know you will bounce back, hoping the corals will not all die on you. Stay safe, and happy new year when it comes.
Sand can be deadly. That's why I only siphon 1/3 of my tank during water changes. If something seems off, I normally do a few 10% water changes to see if that would fix the issue.
Nice set up ! Good luck ! New to your channel . Looking forward to your recovery 😊. Do you think bare bottom would be good since your gsp cover most the bottom ? Seems they grow fast , how fast ?
@@prolific_breed Thanks for the reply . Yea , Wrasse are good to have . Seems like a lot of give & take in the reef hobby . A 18 x 24 x 4" plastic container filled for that purpose might not be practical. Or a dry rock bowl . Sand diffinetly looks nice . Alot more maintenance . If I ever get a tank , I was thinking about making a dry rock bowl for tube anemones .
This happened with one of my Biotope Tank this year. Everything was going alright, a sudden bacterial bloom destroyed the algae and the inhabitants. By the way, Happy New Year and your family.🎉🍰
Glad you have another established reef

full of lessons lol
I hope your corals recover and your tank gets back into shape. Everyone makes some mistakes when reefing. Don’t beat yourself up.
yea i know .. always a new lesson

yea .. i wish a stuck with bare bottom now
@@prolific_breed Yeah, its a bit more work with sand. But it does look nice when its clean! lol
That’s why if you got the space don’t take down a tank when you upgraded, keep it running and be useful case like this.
That sucks bro... hope all goes well

Mistakes we all make them but we learn from them
I did the same trying to even put sand bed but I started to like the natural uneven look later. 👍

It’s the pvc cement that caused the crash.

Ammonia would kill your fish first.
