- "Amaranth" is the second single released from the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish's Dark Passion Play album, and also the second single with the former frontwoman Anette Olzon. The official release date was August 22, 2007.
The title song includes all of the band members, but the single contains a bonus track called "While Your Lips Are Still Red", on which Olzon and the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen do not play. This song is used in the Finnish film Lieksa!, released in September 2007. The official video for "Amaranth" was released on June 15, and has over 100 million views.
On August 24, 2007, the Nightwish's official website reported that "Amaranth" had already achieved gold status in Finland two days after its release, meaning sales of over 5,000 copies. On August 29, it was announced that the single had topped the Finnish Singles Chart. On September 6, the official site also announced that Amaranth had reached the top of the charts in Hungary and Spain.
"Dark Passion Play" is the sixth studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released on 26 September 2007 in Finland, 28 September in Europe and 2 October 2007 in the United States. It is the first album without original vocalist Tarja Turunen, who was dismissed in 2005, as well as the first album involving future member Troy Donockley on uilleann pipes and tin whistle. It is the first of only two albums with vocalist Anette Olzon, who was eventually dismissed in 2012 after the release of the band's subsequent album, Imaginaerum. Tuomas Holopainen has referred to it as the "album that saved his life".
You can ask me about editing and combining sounds to get almost the same as the original sounds.
Let me know if you have any suggestions to make my videos better and thank you.

I am late but damn, that was a sick cover!! Tuomas would be proud
Thanks Abhigyan!! appreciate your comment a lot : )
@@Alex-BH Just a question , did you figure it all out by ear?
@@abhigyankaushik1328 not all of it but only some parts, I usually get a music sheet and then for those parts which are kinda different from the album record I figure it out by ear... But I think this song was quite simple in term of structure and technicality in comparison to Dream Theater and Symphony X songs and I could figure it all out by ear without using a music sheet
These sounds available for the Krome OR Kronos??
I am using Krome but definitely Kronos has the same or better sounds. Generally I never use factory sounds as they are not identical to the original sounds used in the album so I try to modify the existing sounds to get what I need for my covers.
Hi Alex BH . Your cover is very good and i like it so much. Now i"m using krome ex. so can you show me how to edit the intro sound . Tks you so much

@@Alex-BH tks you so much
@Alex-BH great explanation!!!
I bought a Yamaha PSR-EW310
Can i play this song on it? Im a really beginner
Congratulations!
Yes of course you can : )
@@Alex-BH Thank you! 😊
@@Alex-BHCan i ask that which voice do you use? 😁
@@marktoth4854 For each part I used multiple layered combination of sounds with lots of detailed sound adjust (i.e. tone adjust, zone/delay, Timbre/param, MIDI filter, IFX, MFX, LFO and TFX) to be able to get the exact or at least close to the original sounds.
The following are a simplified sound sequences for this song and in case you don't have a certain sound in a patch you can use only one element of that patch and play the song (for example the "first patch" if you don't have that many sounds and you can't adjust it to exactly sound as the original sound, you can only use piano sound or bell sound).
First patch:
00:17-00:31:
Left hand: Piano + soft vocal + Deep Vox sound + String Pad
Right hand: Piano + Soft bell
Second patch:
00:32-00:50: 5 different types of strings + Vocal sound
Third patch:
00:51-01:20: Slow synth + Vox sound + String Pad
Second patch:
01:28-01:50: 5 different types of strings + Vocal sound
Third patch:
01:51-02:05: Slow synth + Vox sound + String Pad
Second patch:
02:13-02:50: 5 different types of strings + Vocal sound
Second patch:
02:58-03:13: 5 different types of strings + Vocal sound
First patch:
03:14-03:27:
Left hand: Piano + soft vocal + Deep Vox sound + String Pad
Right hand: Piano + Soft bell
Second patch:
03:28-04:06: 5 different types of strings + Vocal sound
I hope that was helpful : )
