Symphony X - Accolade II (Full Keyboard Cover) ✔️
Symphony X - Accolade II is a song from 2002 album "The Odyssey" which is the sixth studio album by progressive metal band Symphony X, released on November 5, 2002 through Inside Out Music. The album is the band's first to be recorded entirely at guitarist Michael Romeo's home studio, The Dungeon. "Accolade II" is a sequel to "The Accolade" from The Divine Wings of Tragedy (1997).
The title track "The Odyssey" is the album's grand finale: a 24-minute musical interpretation of Homer's Odyssey, an epic poem about the journey of ancient Greek hero Odysseus.
Alex Henderson at AllMusic gave The Odyssey three stars out of five, calling it an "old-school" album and "dated" for its time, while clar...

These sounds available for the Krome OR Kronos??
I am using Krome but definitely Kronos has the same or better sounds. Generally I never use factory sounds as they are not identical to the original sounds used in the album so I try to modify the existing sounds to get what I need for my covers.
dang nice cover😁just discoverred this song and re-kindled my love for Nightiwish. I also want to try out the synthesizer (isent that what its called? , just telling the difference between a keyboard and synthesizer shows you how little i know about this.) as an instrument for a new hobby. Me being totally new to playing this but still loving the "feel" of the sounds you can play from it. How did you learn and how long have you played aswell as is it something you would reccomend to others (in terms of it being a realistic goal)? There's alot of music especially from Nightwish aswell as other bands and a few classical pieces (the easy ones, if they exist haha) that i wanna give a go, but i am abit hesitant as im quiet unsure to how the learning curve is aswell if its just gonna end up as a wast of time etc. edit., where do you suggest to find sheet for songs that i want to learn eventually Would appriciate if you had some tips and tricks
Yea indeed Nightwish songs are great. Generally I learned music theories by researching online, while I learned the specific songs that I have posted either by listening to the original song and researching online or through music sheets. I have been playing music since 2012 but unfortunately I didn't get the chance or the tools to practice regularly. My recommendation might not suit your music taste, I suggest you to learn your favorite songs to enjoy the process of learning. Well I don't use a specific website for music sheets I just search for it if it is needed for a specific part of the song, and some of the music sheets are not available online for free. So I suggest to find your favorite songs on RUclips and start learning by simply watching the video. There are a lot of people who post cover songs on RUclips while they are playing the same song differently. To start I think you know your capabilities more than anyone else so try to select the version which suit you better and is easier to play (I think you can identify that by watching how frequent and how fast they move their finger on the keyboard). In the long run as you continue playing and improving your skills, try to accept challenges by selecting the more difficult and more professional way of playing your favorite songs which are available on RUclips and that's how you will improve your skills and techniques gradually while you are enjoying the process of playing your favorite songs. I will definitely check out your videos if you are going to post music covers : ) Glad you liked my cover and thank you for your comment : )

@@marktoth4854 For each part I used multiple layered combination of sounds with lots of detailed sound adjust (i.e. tone adjust, zone/delay, Timbre/param, MIDI filter, IFX, MFX, LFO and TFX) to be able to get the exact or at least close to the original sounds. The following are a simplified sound sequences for this song and in case you don't have a certain sound in a patch you can use only one element of that patch and play the song (for example the "first patch" if you don't have that many sounds and you can't adjust it to exactly sound as the original sound, you can only use piano sound or bell sound). Thanks @crazyvinz glad you liked it : )
Hey! what synth sounds and plugins did you use? I'm really interested in making something like this but i'm really new
I didn't use any plugins, I usually select a sound from my keyboard and then I start editing it with the functions available in the keyboard without using any external devices. If you have Korg Krome I can help you with the sound edit pages for any specific sound in my videos. In case you have any other keyboards, I suggest you check online resources in which you can get how to edit sounds for a specific keyboard you have and in the process you might find ready sounds available in some websites that you can use it or build on it to get your intended sounds.
@@Alex-BH Wow, you really put a ton of dedication and effort onto this! Unfortunately I don't have a Korg Kronos, I just have a MIDI keyboard (Novation Launchkey 61 Mk3) which isn't much useful when it comes to this in my opinion, I hope to find some softwares or VSTs that can make sounds like that hopefully Thank you so much for your reply I really appreciate it

All patches are custom except for the little piano part in the middle. I rarely use original Krome patches in my videos. Always there are some modifications needed to get the sounds as close as possible to the original song. Here is what I usually do for each sound in the combination: 1- Search for the closest combination sound 2- Adjust/Add/Remove sounds within the combination 3- Adjust Timbre para (ex: pitch) 4- Adjust the zone 5- Adjust/Add/Remove IFX, MFX, and TFX 6- Adjust the tone Congratulations, you will definitely enjoy it Let me know if you need detailed explanation for each patch, I can tell you which sounds i have combined for my patches. Hello. Your cover is very good. Could you pass me your isolated keyboard track? I'm doing a video cover of this song playing every instrument but I do not know how to play the keyboard, I wanted to use your sound. Of course I would give you the credits and put your video next to mine. Thank you! ws_amorim@hotmail.com
Hello, thanks glad you liked it !! I wish it was possible, unfortunately i deleted all the isolated tracks i had so far.

Hardly see people cover this song with keyboard, most of them do it with the guitar, drum, then bass.
Yea that was one of the reasons to cover this song so I can help others with the notes : ) Thanks for dropping by!!
nice cover

Great performance! Are there sheets available anywhere? Do you switch the voices using a foot switch?
Hi, yea you can find the sheets in this website: www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0081683 also you can get it from Guitar pro: www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php?pg=download Yea I'm using DP-10 Roland Pedal to switch sounds Thanks, Glad you liked it : )
Thank you!
Alex does the Krome supports adding a sequence of patches that you can switch using the foot pedal? If this is true, what is the name of that function I would like to browse the user manual?
Sorry for the late reply, yea actually this is what I always do in my covers. I start by programming all sounds in combination mode, then sequence the patches according to the song and then just switch the patches by stepping on the pedal. You need to do the following to activate the switch pedal: 1- Plug in a pedal in the back (Switch) 2- Press Global mode 3- Press Page 4- Choose Controllers on the screen 5- Change "Foot switch assign" by pressing on "off" to any way you like to switch your patches (personally I use "Program Up" which means it will switch to the next patch every time I step on the pedal) and you will be ready to rock \m/ I hope this was helpful!! : )
