joe biddy So did I the same color Blue Coupe as this car. 427-435-HP (4spd). Paid $3100 for it with only 11,000 miles on it in late ‘71 like brand new. I also installed Factory Chevrolet Side Exhaust on the car back then. Had the Deluxe Blue Leather interior in it. Only thing I didn’t like about it was the hard ride from the stiff suspension on bias ply tires back then. The other thing I didn’t care for was the Vacuum operated Tri-power 3 Deuce Carburetor System. Would of rather had full mechanical linkage with the 3 deuces on the car. Had someone who wanted to buy the car bad from me and I was out of work so I sold it to him a year or so later.
An all aluminum 427, two Rochester 4 bores, Hooker headers, Lake pipes, Moon hub caps, Muncie rock crusher, candy moon beam blue, a pink carnation corsage for miss Thelma Lou. Date night!
Not bad for a custom job, most resto-mods go too far and end up looking ugly. I'm surprised that stinger hood actually works well with the C3 design, but I still prefer the C3 L88 hoods. Those side pipes are damn nice too, in my opinion they should have used pipes like that on the factory cars, they look more like the midyear pipes and shrouds. I always liked the 69s for the stingray emblem on the side and the chrome inserts in the "gills", but I like the 68 rear end better, with the reverse lights under the bumpers.
I'm in Caddo Mills. Texas USA and I filmed this along Mockingbird Lane and Lemmon Avenue and the Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, Texas. Thanks for subscribing to Samspace81
The "Stinger" hoods were '67 only, the '65s and '66s had the "power bulge" hood for big block cars. Yeah the hood doesn't look good on this car, I hate half assed custom jobs like that.
It's a crate 427 ZL1 anniversary crate motor, 480hp\490lb-ft. I'm not knocking the choice of the engine, its great, expensive but perfect. My point is as cool as this engine is you can make a fuck ton more power for less money. Plus an LS is still 195lbs lighter. Those ZL1 anniversary motors sold for $24k with a list of $28k. A crate LS3\525hp\486lb-ft is only $8500.
Forget your lambos or ferraris jaguar's or aston Martin's.. this 1969 corvette stingrayoupe is THE car..design is fantastic..looks amazing.
The best lines
Sure there's always something faster, but there's nothing cooler than this car
Thanks so much Loren, hard to beat these lines! I just got to film a '69 Corvette, its posting in 1 hour. Thanks for watching Samspace81

Shelby Cobra is cooler 💪🏽🥶
Or my ‘70 Pontiac GP (J)

This is one of the few Corvettes on RUclips that sounds steady in idle.
Delicious looking car!
Memorable
Undoubtedly, Chevrolet Corvette is the nicest american sports car !!!
So true, better and better
I owned a 427 435 HP Vette back in the early 70s. What a beast, and that 427 was bullet proof.

Stinger hood is cool they should have kept it for the 68-70 years
💯 great idea 👀
A real preety car
Anyone know any specs on the wheels/tires on this car? beautiful stance!
I wish I could remember to tell you
@@samspace81 no way of finding out? might have the best stance ive seen on a 69

Great observations live Wire
Thats a whole lot of car.
Fyfan va vacker hon är! Har en 56:a och 72:a Corvette. Inget står upp emot en bra Corvette säger jag bara!
Great looking Vettes
My father sold his in his 20s for a motorcycle I always wanted one
I've had a few they are fun never a C3 though
Riding the clutch
He always did I hated that
How much did it sell for?? She looks immaculate
I can't remember, was high 20s, low 30s back then
Right, which is a nice amount of money nowadays...
Even more now that was several years ago
Interesting hood. Is that a standard corvette hood? I own a 69 427-400 HP Roadster.
The L88 hood looks better on C3's
Rear flares are kind of cobbed but its a kool car.
Yah
It's the most beautiful woman in the world .... She is my dream car
Great Vette
Patriots? 👍
Thank you
Nice❤
Thanks

Actually I purchased both of them at once ZO6 2010 and a 1969 stingray.
A suit for every occasion!
@Craig Scott Nice 😍😇
That hood looks ridiculous on that car.
Just because you can, dosen't mean you should.
Looked good on the c2s but looks like shit on the c3s, should went with the regular hoods that came on the 69 stingrays
Yeah that car can fly LoL
You know it
Had one 😭 Before.
Por isso que eu falo: Ser pobre é uma merda. Tem que se contentar em ter saúde.
Truth, love Vettes too
You put a beautiful engine in it and you couldn't fix vacuum leak???
Lol 😆

did you get the 442 email?
That hood belongs on a C2. Doesn't do it for me on a C3.
Me either

Sting Ray 💪 love Corvettes
Wouldnt race that in your LS 2JZ swaps, you will get your ass handed to you on the highway and the dig from a light... He can cruise at 160

Won't you take a ride on heavy metal. It's the only way that you can travel down that road.
I love it, nothing else matters. Thanks for following Samspace81
I just hate that rack on Vettes.
Incorrect hood... completely ruined the car.
I can dig a pure Vette, but it works with this car for me
