2024 ASU with Scatabo is the same as 2023 Ok State with Ollie Gordan. One all world running back can not beat the more talented team and the deeper team. Even if somehow ASU hangs around until the 4th quarter, Texas' 2 and 3 deep will win out. The Texas 2 and 3 deep are littered with 5 star and blue chip and players that would honestly start at ASU.
ASU and Boise did not deserve the bye. Texas and Penn should have gotten the bye. That would have made the first round games more even. Gotta go by AP for seeding playoffs going forward. Texas and Penn way higher rankings. This was a BIG MISHAP. Texas is just getting WARMED-UP, not BEAT-UP. ASU gets punished.
This ain't gonna be close if Texas or ASU wins it'll be a blow out. Either Cam will rush for 160 and we'll win 42 - 17 or Texas will win 55 - 14. Praying we don't use Cam as some decoy. I don't see a close score.
Then Texas shouldn't have lost to Georgia and Penn St should have won their conference for a bye. I think all Conference winners should have the the selection of a bye regardless of win loss just like the NFL handles it playoffs for its conferences. Win your conference and earn the bye simple as that.

As for the Boise St. team They do not have as good of a resume but they still won their conference unlike Texas, or Penn St. The moment we put teams in the playoffs based on paper and not results on Saturday games then why have football programs and such never make a regular season meaningless. Earn the bye week by winning your conference anything else is failure. And for Teams that didn't participate in a conference championship they should count themselves lucky to be in the CFP and have a 2nd chance at a National Title.
