Bewitched was my favorite TV show when I was a kid. Later on, in my teens, I saw her portrayal of Lizzie Borden. Wow! Great movie! I loved it. As for her private life, well...that's why they call it ACTING! I never thought Elizabeth Montgomery was exactly like Samantha. Nor did I ever expect her to be just like Lizzie Borden. It's acting! Actors always pretend to be somebody else, right? What's unusual about that?
Elizabeth Montgomery's final husband was Robert Foxworth, not Fox. They were together for over 20 years before finally marrying. Why did you include footage of Barbara Eden dancing saying it was Elizabeth?
Robert Foxworth was such a handsome guy. Too bad he wasn't gay and in love with ME!!! Sounds like Elizabeth Montgomery finally hit the jackpot with her fourth and final husband.
It doesn’t sound like she lived a salacious life, rather over several decades she had a number of relationships, which for different reasons didn’t work. The first two marriages sound like a young woman looking for security with older men that she likely did not get from her father . The third marriage was with her professional partner William Asher with whom she owned Bewitched, and who was the father of her children. The fact the marriage eventually failed is not an indictment on either party, but probably had a lot to do with working together and having a family as much as infidelity. Finally, EM seems to finally found happiness with Robert Foxworth in a domestic partnership where she finally found someone who could appreciate the full person not just the beauty we saw on the small screen.
Loved her on Bewitched. She was a gorgeous lady. I'm sorry she never felt secure enough to just love herself and the rest would fall into place. Her talents go beyond just Bewitched. She was a political advocate and started in several really good shows/movies. Loved her in Lizzy Borden. Thank you 😊

Bill Asher was the cause of the divorce. He admitted it in 1999 and also admitted that he had a roving eye. Herbie Pilato said that Asher told him that he had a roving eye in an interview not long ago. He also said that he feels that Asher never got over Liz. I think one can see that when her statue was unvieled in 2005. In a BEWITTCHED special in April, Bernie Kopell said he was at Liz's home and heard her tear into Asher. He cheated on her. Richard Michaels' marriage was on the rocks. It's mentioned on the special that he had his eyes on Liz. I guess to Liz, the marriage was over.
Wow??? Really??? Do people really care about an actress's private life? Elizabeth Montgomery was a great actress....and very likely a great lady by all accounts.....loved and admired her deeply!!!!
I doesn't seem so strange that she hooked with so many men but then she had four different husbands ? (That is a CLUE for those of you who don't understand that sleeping around hurts you in the long run.)
I would' not call myself a feminist, but the double standard is quite evident. If you are a guy, especially if you are attractive, you are expected to play the field; but a female is "salacious if she does the same. For a woman that looked that great, any guy she gave it up for should be grateful for some great memories! It is to her credit that she set the record straight before her life ended. R.I.P.!
All the proceeds from the book likely goes to her Children..The more salacious the book the more likely it will be a best seller whenever it was released.
Loved Bewitched and Montgomery. She was always great in that role - which, by the way, for a sitcom, borrowed heavily from I Love Lucy for various plot ideas. It's unfortunate that Hollywood makes actors go crazy - and steers them into a treadmill of changing partners and spouses. The fantasy worlds that Hollywood creates does not untether its actors from actual reality. If they choose to make a huge mess out of their personal lives, they will not be happy, nor will they live the wholesome fantasy they portray on TV. No one is immune from bad outcomes due to poor personal decisions. And in Hollywood - that story is written over and over again. You think they would learn from the mistakes of others - but they don't.
@@FactsVerse Hard to say which episode I liked best. I think the earlier B&W ones were funnier. I liked the original Darrin (Dick York) better than the re-cast Darrin (Dick Sargent). And any episode with Paul Lynde (Uncle Arthur) or Bernard Fox (Dr. Bombay) was great.
I'm having trouble with the part of the comment that says they borrowed heavily from I Love Lucy two more different situations I can't think of Lucy was straight comedic acting while Bewitched was totally a gimmick trick photography based show. But I will give you all comedy borrowed a bit from Desilu, but really as they go thus would be one of the least.
@@jackvannote Both shows were based on the idea of the husband being the straight man, while every week the housewife creates (or stumbles into) zany antics and crazy capers - causing the husband some major embarrassment - which is how the show gets its laughs from the audience. I agree the premise was somewhat different. Lucy was not a witch, and Samantha was not married to someone in show business. And yes, there was a lot of trick photography in Bewitched, but also, Lucy had quite a few sight gags as well. Remember the giant loaf of bread escaping from the oven? In one show Lucy learns how to drive, causing her husband distress, while the audience laughs. In a Bewitched episode, Samantha learns how to drive, causing her husband distress, while the audience laughs. It's not the same show, for sure. But it's the same idea for getting laughs. Now think about this: King of Queens is a re-imagining of The Honeymooners. One day I was watching King of Queens, and this realization hit me like a ton of bricks.
@@mxbishop You would make a better argument for your case if recognizing both marriages were totally improbable matches Lucy: the all American girl married to the Cuban and Darren: the all American boy who married an otherworldly entity an eternal ethereal being, a witch. You are on shaky ground with your comparison of Lucy's sight gags, most of which were based her genuine ability to execute physical comedy at the height of hilarity to Samantha laughs generated by the characters ability to magically bewitch any situation. That latter aspect depends solely on the technical expertise of those behind the scenes not in her ablity to actually perform. Not that she wasn't a geart actress and was able to suspend disbelief with her acting ablity so you actually did believe everything that happened while in the moment. As for the vexatious nature of the husband and wife relationship it exists in every situation comedy. The driving episode is classic to almost every one of the married couples on the tube, and for added screwball effect in "The Addams Family" its the rich chauffeured Gomez that has never driven, and Morticia is the vexed instructress. It's hysterical!! As "I Love Lucy" was frequently the first and almost always the best produced of these themes the Desilu team gets credit for being copied but we all have been copying the ancient Greeks since they began storytelling in theaters in ancient times. There are only 9 to 11 genuine different plot lines around which all stories revolve when you strip away the particular "window dressing" that makes it a "Lucy", a "Bewitched" a "Honeymooners", a "King of Queens" or "the Flintstones" (Yes, the latter three are all EXACTLY the same premise and I believe both "KoQ" and Hanna Barbera give a small acknowledgement in the credit to the Honeymooners) Well God Bless and Happy Continued Veiwing Jurassic Jack aka Jack A.S VanNote President JAV Communcative Enterprises A Multimedia Firm with interests in Film Television and Video Productions General Programming and ✝️ Family Fare

i had a big crush on her. i think hollywood though is a sweetshop extra marital fun. no doubt if an actor you are meeting so many different people and working long hours attraction towards other people no doubt becomes enevitable especially if your very attractive and also has a personality to match which im sure Elizabeth no doubt did. gorgeous woman RIP
If she was going to wait so long after her death to have her book published, almost 20 years, why not wait until after Robert Foxworth had passed on rather than him having to deal with the fallout as her last husband?
I didn't know about her four husbands other than her last husband actor Robert Foxworth but I heard that Gig Young had an alcohol problem that ended up with his murder/suicide with his then wife. Nowadays I'm not surprised about how these stars from yesteryear lived their lives especially when it came to sleeping around. But I remember one made for TV movie she did that many womens groups praised and in it she played a rape victim who is treated badly by investigating police, especially in her being questioned by male detectives about the rape and if she actually enjoyed it. It was said that because of that movie police procedure when dealing with rape victims went under close scrutiny nationwide and many changes were made especially in the courts as well. She was a beautiful and talented actress and she seemed to have finally found the right man for her in Robert Foxworth. It's sad that she passed so quickly after being diagnosed with cancer.
She was absolutely beautiful, and of course, a very talented actress. If I were young and single when she was around, I would not even have to think it over! Oh yeah, also if I were better looking!
I know Herbie J. Pilato, author of "TWITCH UPON A STAR." He would never write a salacious book about anybody, and he did not write a salacious book about Elizabeth Montgomery. You are just making it appear that way, and making Montgomery appear to be promiscuous. You just love to drag out the dirty laundry of a person's private life and discuss things which are nobody's business.

Too bad people judge others...
She volunteered that information by putting it in a book.
Then why did you watch the video?
The biggest problem I have with her private life is that I wasn't in it.
@@krismckee because I like anything about Elizabeth Montgomery..... If that's any of your goddamn business
@@krismckee .... I had to watch the video to find out what they said about one of my favorite Stars...... So much for your GOTCHA moment!
7:11 When discussing The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell they mention "Gary", no last name. I assume they meant Gary Cooper?
She's no more salacious than Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, & other actresses.
The 60's was the love generation. I don't think people cared " back in the day" about it. 😂😂😂
I've got news for all of you, most actresses in the 60s bounced from bed to bed. Very few were virtuous!
It's not fox it is foxworth
How much is a "Foxworth"....?
Elizabeth and Barbara and Carol were ALL FOXES..!
If Elizabeth had a salacious life, so did a large population of Western entertainers.
All the proceeds from the book likely goes to her Children..The more salacious the book the more likely it will be a best seller whenever it was released.
2:50 That's Barbara Eden from I dream of Jeannie, not Elizabeth Montgomery.
I enjoy your content 🤙
The males that were w/Elizabeth enjoyed her "content" too...OR @ least should have, I know I would have...! HeyoooooOOOOO!
Thanks for watching! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, what other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
We're glad to know that you love the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If we may ask, which episode did you like the best?
Wholesome should apply to men as well as women?
I agree, people don't need to know this. People will do anything for money. Leave her alone.
I always love Elizabeth playing her cousin serena. She was gorgeous...
Us too! Thank you so much for bringing back memories. What other types of video would you like to see?
I loved Serena character as well!
What is the name of this so called book? I have several books on her and it mentions 1 person.
Robert Foxworth was Elizabeth's Darren 💞💗
Glad to hear she was fond of Mr Happy
Looks like any normal person can’t make in Hollywood.
It's not Hollywood. It's hollyweird. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I worked with a rural cop, a state natural resources cop, who told me that he and EM "picnicked" on a bear skin rug he had placed over the hood of his police car back in the early 70s, or so...lol. At first I thought he was BSing until I began to learn more about my boyhood heartthrob...
I think that rural cop was telling a fib. Elizabeth Montgomery was very picky about her men. She wouldn't dally around with a rural cop. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Oh don't be such a snob.
It was Weschester Co. and said DEC cop a known "ladies man" who had been caught in flagrante on said skin on his crusier by a fellow officer.
@@StevenGSchassler I am not being a snob. Elizabeth Montgomery just wouldn't go for a rural cop.
That wasn't a recent book. It came out over a decade ago - in 2012.
Why did you show footage of Barbara Eden during a video of Elizabeth Montgomery? Lol
So who's on the list?? You only mentioned a few. WTF?
No, it alleges it.
She was a beautiful part of my childhood I'm jealous of anyone who had access to her physically LUCKY THEM
Just physically? Like she was a meat? Ok...
Her life --- Her decisions.
Whom you slept with makes no difference in your character. She was a great woman!
The first sentence 💀
Sounds like her fourth husband was the only good one of the lot. It is too bad they could not have had more time, I am confident they would have been happy together.
They did have a lot of time together. They were together for 20 years. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
If I look like her I’d have a fulfilled life as well. I’m sure she had a wonderful life full of exciting times and now she’s gone the end
Being a whore is not cool
The idea that women have good intuition in who they marry is false.
i had a big crush on her. i think hollywood though is a sweetshop extra marital fun. no doubt if an actor you are meeting so many different people and working long hours attraction towards other people no doubt becomes enevitable especially if your very attractive and also has a personality to match which im sure Elizabeth no doubt did. gorgeous woman RIP
She died in 1995, how did she approve a book released in 2014? Curious.
If she was going to wait so long after her death to have her book published, almost 20 years, why not wait until after Robert Foxworth had passed on rather than him having to deal with the fallout as her last husband?
well she certainly had a colorful life👍🏻
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What is your favorite role of Elizabeth?
3:10 Robert Montgomery was infuriated ... boy he ain't seen nothing yet.
It's sad that she passed so quickly after being diagnosed with cancer.
........SO,.....he Gig'ed too Young...?
Cancer doesnt come on you that fast and kill you in a few weeks
One of your images of Elizabeth Montgomery was actually Barbara Eden. classic AI mistake.
James Naughton worked with her on a MOW for Warner Bros in the mid-1980s I worked on. Let's just say they had......chemistry.
Is he the actor from American Werewolf in London?
What's the book called
"Which BED IS Mine....?"
Just kiddin'....! (about the title of book!) ]. On a truly serious note, She was Way TOO young for beautiful Elizabeth to RIP..!
She was absolutely beautiful, and of course, a very talented actress. If I were young and single when she was around, I would not even have to think it over! Oh yeah, also if I were better looking!
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Elizabeth. We're a big fan of her too. Which Bewitched episode is the most memorable for you?
Being better looking is okay but being a nice person is much better. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
She was beautiful great actress love show bewitched
I know Herbie J. Pilato, author of "TWITCH UPON A STAR." He would never write a salacious book about anybody, and he did not write a salacious book about Elizabeth Montgomery. You are just making it appear that way, and making Montgomery appear to be promiscuous. You just love to drag out the dirty laundry of a person's private life and discuss things which are nobody's business.
So what ! She was lovely no matter what.❤
Let her rest in peace !!!!!!
Let This woman ♀️👠 be remember as a Talented actress. Nobody cares. Have Respect
Whatever she done good or bad she's gone now and people should let her rest in peace
I am glad she had a good time. She was my favourite star growing up. Loved bewitched.
I guess you could say she would behold the Pink Horse several times.
She was human with all the frailties and shortcomings.
Both she and Carolyn Jones died of colon cancer. RIP.
Carolyn Jones was briefly married to TV producer, Aaron spelling in the early 60's. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Why have videos about this? For shame!
Yes Did you know She was married to 4 guys I knew. Who was the guy that she knew in Wisconsin. He was very good what she did. I admired her acting she was good. I was wondering did she have any children. Bless her Soul she was a good person..from Dawn Paul Melnik 🙋♀️💞.
That was Barbara Eden at 257
