A great twist to this theme happens in the fifth case: it plays when Dahlia floats the idea that Maya committed suicide. That kind of subconsciously gives new players the impression that might have actually happened, giving them the same sense of despair Phoenix gets in that scene.
when i got to that part, i had already gotten spoilers that maya appears in a later game (idk what game it even is yet lol). but because this theme was playing i was thinking "did she actually..?" amazingly clever writing by the developers

I just finished a blind play-through of this. And all I can say, that last freaking case had me in a roller coaster of emotions. That case and the last case in TGAA2 are easily my fave case, earning these games my top 2 games of all time.

We were standing up in each other's face and everyone including the teacher went silent. A disabled friend tried to intervene but I reached behind me and told him to stay out of it. It ended a few minutes later with the guy leaving the room and coming back a few hours later crying for forgiveness. I forgave him and we've been on better terms ever since.

Even though it's probably my least favorite Telling the Truth theme of the trilogy, it's still great. Sorry, I just don't think the higher notes sound as good as the lower notes as the two past games' Telling the Truth themes, which gave those moments more severity.
