Heart and tension are the soft skills of Gamazda's other double wonder in my view, where I see them most evident and obvious in her covers of "Listen to your Heart" and "Nothing Else Matters". Making the music pour out heart is advanced and mysterious. I saw a film clip of cellist Pablo Casals teaching heart in his master class, and all he could do was examples; he had no words. Maintaining musical strain, musical tension, I have never seen taught or learned, if you can you can, and I am confident that I am unable to explain, but if you take these words and listen with a sensitive ear to the clips above, you cannot miss. Strain and tension not of course welcome when the music takes you drifting down a slow summer woodland river with the sun peaking in and out of the leaves - Mozart clarinet quintet, slow movement.
That little satisfied smile at the end says it all 😊. More a reinterpretation than a cover, with a good dose of jazz and some swing added, and I totally love it.
I can listen and watch you each and every day and never get enough. 😊 so please keep playing . My ears can never get enough of the artistic performance.
