21:23 This video is very insightful thank you. I'm guessing here that this curve would help listeners who also have purchased tall or high backs seating that covers up to their head and blocks line-of-sight to the rear speakers. Looking forward to the rest of this topic but loved whats been covered so far. Thank you
Absolutely yes. My seats are quite high, and now after calibrating, it's sounds very good. It's definitely shown me that there is a roll-off in high frequencies, caused by ears, and even seating. Using different target curves to augment this sounds amazing now. I'm not sure if the differences between the two are exactly right, but it's certainly a start, and I now have more clarity in sounds behind me.
Have you done dirac live with your new A1H? And NAD has a target curve you could upload aswell. I found the NAD target to work superb with music and storm woth movies.
Excellent tutorial Carl! Any chance you could share those Wisdom target curve files on a Google Drive? Also, do you recall which video you watched that they were calibrating the Wisdom speakers?
Great video. How do you make different targets remain onscreen? Trying with REW V5.40 Beta 43.. I am not able to show various targets curves in All SPL tab.
Hello buddy☺️ guess... Im gonna do professional calibration with professional calibrator im my home theatre and im very very happy 😊 have you ever tried to bring calibrator to make perfect all system??
To your point at around 24:00 Another perspective on this would be: in real life, sounds behind you are also "lowered in treble".. so why not keep it that way so it mimics reality? Wouldn't it be wrong to force back/behind speakers to sound like the sounds coming from the front?
It's a good point, I think my biggest issue is my seats, and potentially blocking sound. My thing is getting my sound to sound as good as it can, and having high cushions like this is definitely an inconvenience. I think I've found a workaround though that I'm going to test soon.

Not yet, one day I will, not sure when yet though. I'd like to see more videos of people calibrating with Dirac.

I linked them in the description.

You have to select them on the left, and make sure they're ticked at the bottom for them to show.
@@hdmoviesource I did that and it said it is at the BOTTOM of the graph. How do I get it to the same level? Thank you in advance.
@@mladia right click the graph, and set the average SPL to the same level.

I haven't no. Maybe one day, I'd like to see how others would calibrate.
Hi carl ❤ your videos. Has anyone got any recommendations on which film will push the subs to the limits?
Dune 1, Mad Max: Fury Road, Top Gun: Maverick, and probably the most aggressive of them all, Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Dune 2, Mad Max Fury Road, Aquaman 1, Tenet, Oppenheimer, Godzilla vs Kong, Top Gun Maverick, The Batman. All really good bass discs.

So what target its better for you the harman or the other curve buddy?? 🙂
For me, it's a combination of both. I like the clarity of the Wisdom, and the bass of the Harmon.
@@hdmoviesource yeah but the bass its not coming from your subs??? 🤔 Why you give so much Importance to the bass??
Well, speake4r level bass is -10 lower than point one bass. That's how they can use the same target.
