One thing I love about this vlog is that many folks make moving abroad look so glamorous but in reality it can be trying just like any other move. The egg shells thing, OMG!
I am from California, and I have moved to HK last year summer along with my 8 🐈 cats . At first my cats were not used to the 530sq ft apartment that our family rented. After one year lease we moved to a double the size apartment and my cats loved it. They all get their own personal space ❤. I love Hong Kong. There’s so much to see and explore. I hope you will enjoy HK as much as I do 😻.
@@ROYAL_REBEL I share a bit of our apartment hunting in this and the video before: ruclips.net/video/2BGEjxQnCjo/видео.html But we're on HK Island and place was asking for 25k but got it for 21.7
@@smraybould This is such GREAT advice. I think as we continue forward this is a huge priority for me. I have a bad habit of getting in the work-zone and not moving 😅
@ Yeah … it’s like what else can you do? 🤷🏽♀️ But one thing did cross my mind … I wonder if in some cultural way egg 🥚 shells represent something positive in their minds? Anywho … I’m glad you don’t let it bother you anymore ☺️
Having that generous outdoor space for a typical small flatroof apartment is a bonus but it means clearing garbage from selfish owners above a routine chore daily. Still, worth it.
That plant street market in Wan Chai is SO close to my school. If you're in need of getting out for a coffee one lunchtime let me know! :) You guys are doing a really nice job with your place too. We just moved here and know how much there is to do. 👍❤
Agree w the camera part or just watch out. Once you have some suspects see if you can work w security or building management to give them a "warning". I'm so in awe by your positivity always
This is what we were thinking! We don't want to make a huge deal out of it, but would be nice for management to give them a headsup that we *know*. I actually got one guy to stop dropping his smoke ashes on us, so it's just a matter of talking to people it seems. 😅
@ baking soda is wonderful for cleaning! I have just bought a bulky bag on HKTVMall. Do you know this store yet? This is currently the most popular online groceries store in HK. They have actual stores as well. Very good deals after discounted

Kaya, you are such a gorgeous young lady. I am so glad I found your channel, and now I am your new subscriber. We are an elderly retiree( interracial marriage) married for half a decade. I'm still learning and exploring YT.
As for the egg shells you should try to talk to your building management. If that doesn’t work you may try talk to your building’s owner corporation chairman. Though I think the person who did it might have obsessive compulsive disorder. It’s quite common in hk high stress environment.
Ooh I didn't think about that--but can definitely imagine that! At the end of the day it's annoying but gives us motivation to sweep more frequently .😂 Could be worse!

@@KayaMarriott nice negotiating! Thanks, HK is ridiculously expensive. The apartment is coming together. I don’t know about that bed tho. Looks uncomfortable being so tiny. Did Darren drink the bee- tea? And your eggshell neighbor has me fuming! I would’ve went upstairs and told him to cut that crap out. Wth

I’m not too sure on either front, but to be fair the leak had continued into part of our first couple days here and we just took initiative to do the cleaning. 😅
I can relate when we moved to Zurich last year we were just furniture shopping, apartment hunting and all . Like we didn’t get a chance to explore . But luckily moving to Cape Town this year the company paid to transfer all our furniture. 🪑 but we still had sooo many errands to run in the city /
