      The NFL isn't giving anything to the vikings dude. They might take something away from Atlanta but we aren't getting squat. That's not how the NFL rolls.

      Ya I mean getting a high end WR 2 at 23 and then a potential starting CB with the last pick in the 3rd is pretty solid, as well with signing Ivan pace

    • @purplepainforums
      @purplepainforums Месяц назад

      2023 was better than 2022, but it was still pretty underwhelming. Addison was a no brainer and KOC had to make Kwesi hang up the phone to draft him. Blackmon was just ok and seems to rather be a spectator when it comes to jump balls. And that's it. Ivan Pace doesn't count because if they actually knew he was a green dot wearing gem, why'd they draft a special teams safety, a 3rd string QB, and a practice squad RB instead of him?

    • @gemellefowler9583
      @gemellefowler9583 Месяц назад

      @@purplepainforums people embellish that KOC and KAM call. There is a video that shows the plan they discussed and KAM said he would take the "shotclock" down the wire but would stick to the plan. KAM stuck to that plan, so people saying he was forced to make that pick is embellishing the truth and are only taking that small video clip in a vacuum.
      Blackmon was the last pick of third round. Was anyone expecting a "Sauce Gardner" that late? We need to have realistic expectations when it comes to drafts. Third rounders are expected to be guys who need to develop, usually a rotational guy that one would expect to start eventually. I'm sure you had to notice that Danielle Hunter was the only third round edge of the Vikings who became anything, Zimmer and crew felt they could develop other guys the same way and it didn't happen. Fourth rounders and below are even more developmental, getting a WR such as Diggs or St. Brown or Nacua are far and few in between.

    It was when they traded up to make the 17th pick that Kwesi sharted! Should have traded back from pick #23. There was more than enough talent on the board to get our interior offensive and interior defensive studs.

    NFC North might be the best division in the NFL. Bears and Vikings should both be better and the Lions and Packers will both be good. It could be a fun season

  • @purplepainforums
    @purplepainforums Месяц назад +1

    I don't think JJ is the type of rookie who is going to have his confidence shattered by a tough rookie season. He seems to be wired better than most young QB's. But I think it would be reckless if the Vikings started him too soon and had to yank him back out midseason. When they do decide to start him, there should be no going back. Will KOC know the right time? The way he handled Jaren Hall has me a little worried. That kid clearly wasn't ready to start against Green Bay but KOC thought he gave us the best chance to win and it was a disaster.

    I think everyone’s sleeping on Darnold he may just go off this year. He knows this is his best chance with good weapons. He hasn’t had anyone around him since he got into the league.

  • @intrepidfool

    Darnold sees ghosts. He is not him. McCarthy is a winner and competitor and seems like he will roll with whatever is thrown at him. I don’t think you have to hande him with kid gloves. He won’t break.
    He doesn’t need a redshirt year like Maye. Let McCarthy get in there and take some lumps, lose some games, make mistakes, win some games, grow.

    • @jamierask8527
      @jamierask8527 Месяц назад

      McHandoff played for a 90% run offense not a passing offline the Vikings. Asking a guy to throw 4 to 5 times more a game in the NFL from passing 8 to 10 times in college is a huge jump. I'm in wait and see mode. Ponder was great at the podium also and look where he ended up...😂😂 Let's all take a step back and wait and see what is going to happen. I know everyone wants this to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but without a knife you aren't slicing anything...😂😂

    Matthew. Come on McHandoff isn't taking Darnolds spot and if he does the Vikings might ruin McHandoff. Again my observations of McHandoff passing 8 to 10 times a game in college andvasking him to throw 30 to 40 times a game in the NFL with a team that cannot run is a big ask of him. I. More hopeful that Darnold turns into a diamond and this team doesn't need McHandoff. If McCarthy sits for a year or two thats fine if Darnold shines. Maybe Darnold will be our next franchise qb who knows...🤔🤔

      I think he's a lot better than you think he is. I shared your skepticism about his productivity but wouldn't be surprised at all if he's the best qb from this draft. He's also 2+ years younger than the other guys besides Maye who is nine months older. Don't be surprised if he's a better qb than Caleb or Drake from day 1

  • @leonardgregory3730

    I thought it was brilliant what the Falcons did. Penix can Sit learn from McChicken Little for two years and then play. I've been screaming for 6 years for us to draft a QB. McChicken Little is good for leading his team to a mediocre record. Why pass on a good QB prospect? When was the last time drafting a QB with a old starting QB didn't work?

  • @michaelharrington2234
    @michaelharrington2234 Месяц назад

    Kwesi shit the bed! he totally panicked after the Penix pick. And if that wasn't bad enough, he doubled down on his panic attack after he couldn't move up to get DL Murphy! He should have traded back from pick #23 and got some of his draft capital back with all those positions of need still available with loads of talent still on the board. Kwesi is quickly running out of ammo to save his own ass. His scouting staff has not proven themselves. Thor Nystrom and Tyler Forness both did not really like the Dallas Turner pick. We already picked up two Edge players in free agency and we really let a chance to get a solid interior offensive and defensive lineman to help us in the trenches, go by the wayside! Not to mention all the draft capital we lost for this year and next year's draft! Believe it or not, Kwesi shit the Bed! F- on this draft!

      So what Tyler and Thor don't like the Turner pick and I like both guys. Most mocks and draft analysis had Turner as the #1 edge prospect. We got him at #17 when most mocks had him going at #8 or way before #17. So no Kwesi gets an A for the 1st round.
