This is without question an amplifier that plays music....With an M......but always those demos with streaming and audiophile music....lets hear some real music and also good analog.. I had some of these kind of recordings for demonstration as many audiophiles do have them but I went back listening to " Music... " Thanks for the upload and also for the sound demo, abstraction made by my comment . Most do only talk about high end gear without letting you listen to it and as so in a decent way... Talking is not the experience of connecting to music and that's a failure of to many high performance stuff.....These Luxman amplifiers are able to let you forget about the SYSTEM......and that's what it is all about for me..
Thanks for the feedback - this was shot over a year ago, I have tried to develop how I present these sound demo videos and try to include a whole variety of different music but I cant please everyone. What I have decided is more important is I show the viewers the music I am listening to and how the system with the review piece in is sounding hence the reason for my comments in the spoken review. If you check my newer videos you will see and hear I have come quite a long way in terms of video presentation - still some ways to go I feel and I am working hard at it
hi i have one question i have now a Marantz model 30 and i am thinking about goiong back to A B amplifire and i am thinking more about the Luxman 507 how is the sound in that amp is it next to the 509 ? or more to 505 ?
This system sounds lovely, however the amplifier costs (L505Ux11) £3,500, I wonder what is the cost of the whole system? In that particular way of looking one might as well buy the L509 amp and go the whole way. The crucial question is how would the L505Ux11 in a lesser system more in line with the £3,500 amp as the starter amp in the Luxman line?
I like your beautiful music, pls tell me which audio quest cable XLR ,POWER CABLE ,ALSO THE SPEAKERS CALLE,… I know you use Jack power supply thanks so much 😊🙏🏻
Your left speaker seems to be toed out a little further than previously - not sure if it’s been moved during the tidy up or maybe the camera is in a slightly different position. Anyhow, thanks for the demo - looking forward to hearing the difference that the GAIAs make.
I would happily review any and all products its all of interest to me. So far my network is only so big and I have access to certain products as a result. My network is growing but I dont have access to LFD products as it stands
Well I’ve compared the 2 videos between the 509 and 505 with the same song and I feel the 509 sounds a lot better as the vocals seemed a little Louder and bigger on the 509 and the soundstage and vocals seems a bit smaller and the sound seemed a little flat on the 505 but not by much but obviously sounds different your end . I have had a demo on the 505 luxman and felt it sounded a little flat sounding when I had a demo with that amplifier I mean it’s only my opinion but feel the luxman 509 is the better amplifier but so it should be for £8500 and the 505 luxman £3500 So there should be a big difference between the 2 amplifiers . Was the volume the same level as the 509 video ?
I know that song pretty well as I own that album myself and that song will show off the sonics of that guitar playing on that song really well and that came across on that 509 video really well and the sound was really open and as I would expect that song to sound . I am not saying the 505 is bad you can still hear the quality and it’s not a bad amplifier when you look at the price when the 509 is nearly 3 times the cost of the 505 .
I've owned the 505uxii now for about 3 weeks. I upgraded from a Rega Elicit R. For some reason the last few days I haven't been satisfied with the power coming from it. Could it be my new iso pucks (9kg) which sit in between the speakers and the stands? I have qutest dac, and harbeth shl5 plus speakers with tellurium q black 2 speaker cable. Am I going to get that big, room filling sound with the 509x that I'm after? Or should I look at something with more power, or remove the pucks lol. Up until about a week ago I only listened in line straight mode to mostly acoustic and orchestral and some female vocals. I find with anything electronic, r n b or bass heavy it sounds best with line straight disabled and sometimes with loudness on. Are you using stock luxman mains cable?
More power? Your speakers deliver 101 dB 1 meter from your speakers at 32 watts. You loose max 6 dB when you double the distance. So if you are listening 4 meters away you will get 89 dB at your ears. I think that's enough! And throw away those pucks. Why do you have them?
@@musiconvinylisbetter.1449 It's fine. I think my ears got used to listening without the pucks. Quite enough power there to be honest. Recently I also added 2x svs sb-2000 pro subs to the system and boy they really took it to another level. I think part of me was a bit of an audiophile pursuit snob thinking I should never "dirty" the stereo sound with subs but if done correctly it's hard to listen without them. I got best integration by positioning them slightly on the outside and behind each speaker. Same goes for only listening to line straight. I would only listen this way when I initially bought the amp thinking it was the best way to listen in terms of audio fidelity. On some recordings it is best but now the majority of my listening is done with line straight disabled and a very, ever so slight boost on the bass tone control. I am by no means a "bass head". On the luxman with line straight enabled the sound becomes more focused. With it disabled it's as if the sound stage widens. I rarely use the loudness button. Only on very poor, flat sounding recordings.
I prefer amber VU's and Yamaha's knobs look way better. I hate small round cheap looking knobs...and brush metal is nicer than a satin finish. Sure, sounds gud with $5K+ speakers...but will it make
Really, it’s a black background You can hardly see anything except white cables. Honestly I’m sorry you got troubled by that fback. I’m not seeing the new additions either lol. It’s all about how you feel! Keep well Terry!
The stuff that some complain about, wow!!! Terry, you handle this with such class and poise, barely breaking a smile until the flower scene, classic.
Terry, love your videos, reviews, and sound demos. Thank you so much for your videos.
Synergy.... acoustic high production value track with Luxman/Qutest combo is a match made in heaven, Kef refs able to deliver these goods
Great video, great integrated amp. Those KEF speakers are just plain gorgeous!

Excellent insight on the leading edge performance versus 509X.

I havent touched the speakers, must be the camera angle - not long to wait for the first video :)
Great vids! You lost sleep over messy comments, mate thats just crazy Shot of your favorite spirit will do you.
I think it was just me taking the piss need thicker skin than that :) cheers though
won man, Luxman great!!!
McIntosh or luxman entry level?
Love the sarcasm regarding the inclusion of the bonsai!!!
Glad someone got it :)
By the way - do you ever review any LFD amps or DACs? I've not heard them myself, but hear good things about them...
I would happily review any and all products its all of interest to me. So far my network is only so big and I have access to certain products as a result. My network is growing but I dont have access to LFD products as it stands
Great video! If I wanted to add an amp for more power through the pre-out, could I use a nice class D amp or would that be an odd arrangement? Thanks.
I’ve listened to both the 505 and 509 here and there are few differences.

The volume was as the same as I could get it - hold tight there are more comparisons coming

@@PursuitPerfectSystem cool
I have the same color Ref 5s. I'm VERY curious how you got that center in that color.
I got 1 of only 5 made. They were made because I asked and asked for them and got very lucky :)
Do you think more plants and flowers will enhance the sound.
No, but if you are drunk.
@@musiconvinylisbetter.1449 funny you should say that. If im sober my system sounds mid fi. It's costing me 20 quid a day in alcohol to get hifi lol 🤣
What is the music being played

Very good SOUND!
Well its amazing sounding smooth, detailed ,sounds as If had a the group playing singing right next to me..wowwww.
And this one is up to more in the budget..any warranties..?
Please add English subtitles. 🤨

The $5k speakers are quite brutal on the system before them - not amplifier power so much but sound quality very much so
Look at the 507. It's a step up in build quality IMO. Or get the 509 and you have museum quality man-cave porn.
Is this amp pure class A?

Yeah it was nearly impossible to make good videos when my room was a bat cave cinema that’s why it changed it about 18 months ago as you know
With that system , anything will sound great
Sound quality of this amplifier can be compared to Denon PMA-2500ne. Denon is less expensive in Europe and the build quality is exceptional.
@@bjrntoreborge4281 I wouldn't put down someone else's comment as nonsense. Be civilised.

little too warm, will keep my Rega
Why this amp is so costly ?
Made in Japan, not China. Very high build quality.
A pig is a pig
outstanding sound!!!
