BTW ;why are atheists annoying? Have you ever thought about the fact that you believers are annoying with your "in-your-face" rhetoric?

    A bunch of people that (superficially) couldn't be more different in age, gender, ethnicity etc. but united by the one thing they love: music.
    I couldn't think of a more beautiful metaphor for what humankind should be.
    Instead of being separated by the things in which we differ, we should all be united by the things we have in common.

    Olá! Eu ia tentar escrever em inglês, mas acho que ficaria tão preocupada em escrever corretamente que perderia a essência do que estou sentindo após ouvir esta música. Simplesmente magnífica! Tanto a música como a apresentação de vocês. Faço parte de uma coral amador, mas somos ousados e estamos ensaiando esta música. Após estudar várias e várias vezes minha partitura quis cantar em "coro". Então, tomei a liberdade de me "integrar" a vocês e cantei, cantei e cantei... A magia da música me envolveu de tal forma que ao fechar meus olhos, estive ai. E juntos alcançamos uma vibração de mais puro amor celestial. Thanks!

    My mum once asked me why I like video games so much, and I said one of the main things for me, is the music in a game. She told me she didn't think video games had epic music, so I showed her this.
    I'm not saying she became a nerdy gamer but I changed her mind on that one.... :P

    • @LeKain08
      @LeKain08 10 лет назад +9

      Good job buddy on that. Too many people (by ignorance or just because they want to be dicks with gamers) believe video game are just stupid toys without any deep. What they don't get is video games are often as much entertainment than Art ! True, there are many video games that are only entertainment (case in much older game like "snake" or "pong" for example), but nowadays video games came really close to Art. In fact, video games have the power to gather many arts at the same times (both graphic and visual arts and musics).
      In that respect, video games are now as much art as cinema. Unfortunately, too many people consider cinema like an art and an wise cultural hobby, but not video game ...
      But with act like yours from people showing how video games can have as much (if not more) epic featuring music, arts, story and fun, they will accept that video games are much more than just colored pixels fighting each other making "beep...beep...beep"... x)

      Video game music is unfortunately overlooked by the mainstream music crowd, the soundtrack for Transistor definitely deserved more attention, and Courtnee Draper's cover of Will the Circle Be Unbroken in Bioshock Infinite was absolutely stunning. The original Mass Effect soundtrack also had some great tracks, and the original Fallout games' soundtracks were super atmospheric and creepy.

    If this music is so touching even for an atheist. how can there be no God. with such touching music our existence can't be by chance.

    I love singing in my choir - when the music comes together after we've all learned the music, it's deep joy like no other. They must have felt total joy singing this one.

    When I first heard Baba Yetu I thought It was one of the most touching songs I have ever heard. Some atheist gamers complained that Sid Meier’s Civilization was now somehow “spoiled” by some sort of Christian agenda. Oh, come on. Faith and hope are driving forces of humanity and fundamental building blocks of civilization. I’m not saying this as a religious person, but as spiritual person. I don't need a god to lift me up as long as I have hope and faith that we can reconcile and work together for something better.

      +Tuuli Hypén I'm an atheist and it didn't even strike me as religious. Even if it is religious, it still accurately describes the influential role religion has had on our civilisations and culture.
