That's what makes it such a special tournament and venue.
Not as weird as Shaun Murphy, Graham Doty, or even Luca last year. This happens in knockout sport so not particularly odd for a seeded player to win. Maybe to those who don’t know the game.
@@Del213 Although Murphy was low ranked at the time he was talked about as he was climbing through the ranks and talk of him being one of the big names in the future. Wilson had been a Semi Finalist 3 times and Finalist since 2019 and also a Masters Finalist too so I always knew he had what it takes to Win at least a Triple Crown Title and it has been long over due. But yeah I agree about Dott and Brecel but just Griffiths, Johnson and Bingham. Every so often you do get an unexpected Champion.
I think last years winner Brecel was more suprising. Kyren is a worthy winner, he has what it takes for a couple years.
