With Infinite Mythbusters wrapping, how does everyone feel about Halo Infinite in general after all this time? Also shoutout to www.youtube.com/@pengi288 for the amazing tutorials.
Well, when I see the the name Halo Infinite, I think of what would be the best halo ever made. It would’ve been a halo with every single gun ever made, with every vehicle ever aired in a halo game, with maybe even a few vehicles that were cut and some from the comics/books. It would’ve had halo reach customization with multiple different armor sets that you could choose from. Some of the armors you would have to buy as well as elemental animated colors. With the colors you could color every segmented piece of armor like the knees or shoulders. Every feature from every game should have been in this game, plus more, as this was Infinite. But we didn’t get that. And my disappointment for this game has been immeasurable. This title most certainly didn’t feel as it was advertised, which was Infinite.
It's the best it's ever been and getting better every season. Players are returning, I find games easily it has a custom games browser. The free items events are reasonable to complete now as are the weekly challenges and they net good rewards.
My circumstances have kept me from playing Season 3 but I've kept up with news and I worry for the games' future. Given the fact that I can worry for it assures me that the time I've had with it was fun and it has the potential to be one of my favorites. My wish is for the game to pull R6 Siege or Star Wars Battlefront 2 style turnaround; content and consistency, Halo Infinite sorts that out and it'll be golden for me.
Here's my theory on why the grapple circle breaks after a few moments: There's a sort of fail safe where if the game detects the thing you're grappling towards isn't getting any closer, it will automatically disconnect it so you don't get stuck if you hit a corner at a certain angle or something like that. Basically the game has a system to prevent a grapple for existing indefinitely, but it isn't just a hard timer.
@@heyteecee3190 If my theory is correct, then no, an unbreakable infinite duration grapple is not possible. You'd need to be constantly getting closer to the target without ever actually reaching it, which is obviously impossible.
@@dogbogs Redundancy. It makes sense to have an automatic system as well. Or perhaps originally the grapple couldn't be manually cancelled, that would also explain it.
You could sort of get around the map size limit by placing a teleporter at the end of the runway that sends you back to the beginning while keeping your velocity and height. I wonder how many times the thruster could send you across the map
The circle was beautiful. I can imagine that they put a limit how long you can stay connected to an object so that you dont get stuck with your grapple
Halo mythbusters was always my favorite of their's. The sandbox, and the discoveries that come with the oddity known as the BLAM or slipspace engine, makes those episodes one of a kind.
Honestly loved this series, its bittersweet for sure because this is where I found you from (since finding out, extremally excited realizing i have a over decades worth of content) You've gained a new fan and wish you continued success.
Thanks for the kind words, they are seen and appreciated. Halo will always be a very important part of this channel so I look forward to finding more ways to keep Halo content coming, whatever it may be.
Halo Infinite has what can be referred to as "terminal velocity," where upon reaching terminal velocity, you will no longer accelerate, but you won't lose speed either. The thruster at 300% movement speed looks to put the user at terminal velocity upon use.
With the grappling hooks, they seem to break if you dont keep looking ahead of you, so if you look to the side or behind you they'll snap and peopel arent turning their cameras fast enough in the circle so they keep snapping off when they go around a curve
If you ever make another one of these, could you guys try to lift a scorpion and a wraith airborne with wasps or banshees? Always wanted to see if it was possible in game, never had the man power
I'm wondering if the chain lightning could work if the players stood in a cone, since it seems the arc CAN bounce more than once from a single player maybe a 1,2,3 etc layout could cause it to connect from the centre line of players outwards, multiple times
Addicted to how our boi spend so long dabbling with forge to create an accurate testing ground just for the first 15 seconds of real testing to obliterate any measurement taking capabilities it had. Forge testing in a nutshell fr
on the grapple maybe make sure everone is aiming at the same spot on the spartan, perhaps between the shoulder blades or on the butt. hopefully you have uploaded this to the forge custom games browser so others can try
I feel like there is probably just a maximum time on the grapple where it will disconnect after you had more than enough time to get to your target so people don't get stuck in glitch spots. How long that time is is probably consistent
The first myth with the thruster, and the lack of velocity change is actually used often during Halo Infinite speedrunning. The second, I think might be about distance, I think each arc arcs to the closest target, and if two players are at the same distance from the shocked object, they both end up shocked causing an additional target. It seems as though a shocked player can't be shocked again and that the shock only travels a certain amount. For the last myth, it may be that the max velocity, which breaks physics on the player, prevents the fastest player from moving in a circle which breaks it completely.
Perhaps on the grapple circle you could try building a circular wall around each circle and see if that contains the momentum. Till then this myth isnt busted.
I think what's going on with the grapple loop is that the momentum scales as you reel in, so smaller mistakes are amplified until it breaks and once one link in the chain breaks the whole thing cascades. So without machine precision, no chance of ever pulling it off.
Get the circle going, build momentum, and at about 3/4ths a circle, simultaneously, or as best you can, have everyone disconnect the grapple, it would be satisfying to see everyone flyout at the same time all in a separate direction, possibly in a pattern?
I think the shock rifle may be that the arch are set to ~8 limit but every arch from a player has a chance to arch to 2 or maybe even more players which is why you had it arch to more players sometimes. I think if you had like 8 people in the immediate range of the initial arch and then 2 players for each of those players next to them you may get more archs
You guys should test the infinite grapple throw with a teleporter system. At the end of the map, put a large teleporter (or group of teleporters) to effectively catch you and throw you back out at the same height at the beginning of the runway. This would, of course, only work if momentum is carried through teleporters like they were in Halo 3.
If you look at 6:28 it actually hits 9 people both times but the ninth player on the second shot was on the left side instead and was a very brief shock that didn't have an effect on the entire shield but only where the shock came in contact probably because he was spaced out further from the other players or maybe he's not idk it's a top down view and I have bad eyes lol. but at the very least it was 8 1/2? idk y'all decide and let me know I say it's a half shock tho
Theory on how electricity arcs in infinite. each arc can arc to 2 nearby objects within clear line of sight and range. an arc cannot travel to the a character already affected by an arc. SO if an arc tries to travel to a previously zapped spartan, it will see that it cant, but instead of trying to find a new spartan, it just doesnt arc again if it has already used an arc. It will only arc a certain amount of times too. or something like that
if you are moving fast enough, gravity does not affect you anymore and you kindof, orbit? idk how to put it but that same bug can be acheived by simply setting your movement speed fast enough and jumping fast enough
Seems like each arc splits to 2 max and theres a max of 3 transfers, so theoretical maximum would be 14 where it hits 2 players, redirecters to 4 more then 8 last people
Look, man, all I'm sayin' is that Eldewrito had a robust and easy-to-use forge system. H5 and Infinite's forges were technically more powerful, but it took *months* of literal research to build things that you couldn't in Eldewrito after a day or two of tinkering. TL;DR: Eldewrito was the best Halo multiplayer experience ever, and Microsoft stole it from us so they could launch MCC on PC without it being DOA. Never forget.
The grapple speed seems to be additive. Each subsequent person grappling onto another is reeling in faster and faster until they get close enough for the grapple to auto cancel, thus breaking the circle and all of our hearts 💔
If someone could get rid of that grapple limitation in a mod or (if only in out wildest dreams) someone at 343 adds it in then the dream lf grapple circle can return
Peculiar. So it seems once you reach a certain velocity, then use an equipment that seems to temporarily disable gravity(like Booster or Grapple), the game appears to get confused and never reapplies gravity. It's only a very loose guess, as I genuinely have no idea how this modified BLAM engine works, but it's a guess nonetheless (Fun fact, some artifacts from the old days of Reach, 3, and CE still remain in slipspace as fallback measures. Ex: if the ragdoll engine gets overloaded, the game defaults to the falling death animation from 3 and Reach. If that engine gets overloaded, CE's stiff ragdoll is an unintentional stand-in)
Finale? The game is still being updated and getting better with each season tf you mean Finale! You can even get campaign equipment in multiplayer/forge now, so these myths have aspects you never even touched.
I haven’t played in ages but from what I’ve seen this new forge is dogshit. The best part about forge back in the day was it was dummy easy to get into but you COULD get really crazy in depth. Whereas this game it looks like you need a damn engineering degree just to be able to understand what you’re doing
Final Halo Infinite mythbusters eh? I suppose that was inevitable considering how much of an utter disappointment and failure Infinite ended up being. No sense making more videos on a dead game almost no one plays.

You should try the grapple thing with 3 people
Here's my theory on why the grapple circle breaks after a few moments: There's a sort of fail safe where if the game detects the thing you're grappling towards isn't getting any closer, it will automatically disconnect it so you don't get stuck if you hit a corner at a certain angle or something like that. That sounds like a smart hypothesis, and one worth testing.
Do you think it’s possible to create an “unbreakable” grapple using forge?
@@heyteecee3190 If my theory is correct, then no, an unbreakable infinite duration grapple is not possible. You'd need to be constantly getting closer to the target without ever actually reaching it, which is obviously impossible.
that's interesting considering you can press the grapple button again to cancel it at any time
@@dogbogs Redundancy. It makes sense to have an automatic system as well. Or perhaps originally the grapple couldn't be manually cancelled, that would also explain it.

Beat me to it! ("Speed Halo" intensifies)
It is infinite, halo speed runners found it a year ago and the fly across the campaign map without losing height or speed
Watching them spin in a circle satisfied something in my brain every time.
The circle was beautiful. I can imagine that they put a limit how long you can stay connected to an object so that you dont get stuck with your grapple

It seems as though they managed to hit that magic velocity during the grapple distance test as well.
@@LucidPoseidon It also used to be possible in the campaign, with fusion coil launches, before it was removed

it's honestly PEAK dth to me, just classic. thank you Halo
Yo!!! You guys should do a collab with Allen Pan!!! He owns the rights to mythbusters merch so you could do Halo infinite mythbusters merch!
Or any other game MythBusters for the next time you find it good myth busting series.
I dont think thats ever gonna happen but a colab with allen would be awsome

If you Forge outside of the map Catalyst, there is an open space that's at least 10x the size of a normal Forge canvas.
because they cut and paste the level from campaign, general kidd has a video on it. So it's a campaign sized map, not a MP sized map.
@@THEGUARDIANSTACO117 I think you're thinking about chasm not catalyst

Perhaps on the grapple circle you could try building a circular wall around each circle and see if that contains the momentum. Till then this myth isnt busted.
Oh god, please tell me you eventually learned how to change the forge movement axis to 'world'
NOPE! I was really wondering about that... 🙃
You did great with the maps good job
It's finally back!! But its the last one:(
Campaign equipment is in multiplayer now and has a bunch of it's own myths and exploits
I'm in this one! Fun to look for my spartan, we really tested the hell out of that grapple spin.
I think what's going on with the grapple loop is that the momentum scales as you reel in, so smaller mistakes are amplified until it breaks and once one link in the chain breaks the whole thing cascades.
So without machine precision, no chance of ever pulling it off.
Someone should ask the devs to make a Forge option where grapples never break 😂 I have feeling they just break after set time

maybe the size of the starting item has something to do with the amount of arcs it jumps?
