My first video ever on YT was about this kit bag I designed and got made by Bastion Gear: etsy.me/2ZI6LiL
The video sucked to be honest as I had literally no editing skills so it was one-take-one-scene with a crappy phone camera.
Now I know a bit more about editing (not much but I'm still learning) and I've been using this pack for a while so I decided to do it again with a bit of fun editing.
I have no affiliate deals with Bastion Gear nor do I get any commission if you buy one. I designed it to fill a hole in this market and to give my take on it.
We are also in a process of making a better version of my bed-tube that will probably be available too.

Frosty, looks like a fine chest rig and and very similar to the Hill People Gear Chest Rigs I run. Looked like some military ID tags in there as well. Also looks like something else there in the works, maybe a new knife! Always enjoy your videos and give ol Tref a pat on the head for me... Stay safe ... 👍🏻
Yeah, I based my design to be HPGish in quality with added versatility in terms of multiple pockets and organisers. Yes, it's a "cyberpunk puukko" ie. my vision of a modern take on a classic design and I really hope it gets made. Thanks, I'll do that!

500D cordura, waterproof zippers - it serves me well in every outdoor scenario. Backpacking, kayaking or just riding a bike...
They're not cheap but they make really quality products. I'm really happy with mine.
Hi Frosty I got my chest rig in olive drab several weeks ago with plans to section hike, camp the Appalachian Trail next month. I like it for carrying my tools. Not too big, nor bulky for chest rig. So far I'm happy.

That thig is actually a really cool item and soooo "fidgety" . And weighs like nothing, 24gr. Harry Potter wishes he had a stick like that! :D
Also, Cymraeg is like from another planet. Usually I'm able to understand some words even if I never saw the language but this thing...

As for Cymraeg, well yes, it 's a hard language to learn, but like all the best things in life, it's worth it in the end. 😁. Seriously, love the kit bag, well thought out, it's always best to buy gear designed from someone who has real world need for it, and knows what they are looking for, and what they expect out of it. Well done.

Well... I do have a Norwegian body armor but that's for SHTF situation like when my wife gets mad for not folding the laundry :D Yeah, chest rigs rock, all the essentials are on hand and no need to take the backpack down all the time.

That's a Croatian saying, meaning time to "dig up the weapons", as many have burried crates of weapons after the last war in the 90's not trusting the peace will last. Sadly, they were right.

They're great packs, you'll be happy with it. I talked about it in one of my videos but never made a review for it.
Thank you for this video (and the first one). I bought the Bastion Gear pack after seeing the first video (even though HPG is the standard here and easier to get here) and mounted a Winkler knife to mine as you have done with the ESEE. Great idea that I'm glad to have copied (stole?) 😀

I saw that chest rig-bag and looks alright, but the price of such small bag is too expensive, I have no doubts that's should be a sturdy one, but let say for price of 1 of this we can find 2-3 of this one's but from others makers, should be good this one but too expensive. Good luck 🍀
I agree it's expensive but I have no control over the pricing, I just made the design and got a freebee for it. Helikon Numbat is like 2/5 of the price and a solid bag.
@@frostys_bushcraft well, I just said that is too expensive, you have no blame in price of this item, but for €120 we can find an alternative, any case that should be a good sturdy chest bag 👍👍👍well designed👍💪, maybe one day when I will be rich person I would buy 😜👍💪💪

Thanks Matteo! Uh... don't know what to recommend. I have a bunch of stuff from Helikom-Tex, some of them have been great like OTP Pants and some were a real disappointment like Pilgrim or SFU2. I'm still searching for a pair I will really like.
How do you attach the knife sheath to the chest pack molle?
There's couple of ways, the simplest is with molle-loks. I have kydex holders I made myself.

What size gun can you carry in this chest rig. Full size?
I can fit my 4.5" Canik Mete no problem. Didn't try anything larger.
@@frostys_bushcraft I have a Glock 23 with a tlr1 and a rds. I really like this set up I’m just not sure if it will fit, would you mind commenting the inside dimensions so I can measure
@@ArpOutdoors no problem, I'll measure it. My Canik is almost 1" taller and longet than Glock and I also have an MRD and a light. You can add me on Instagram if you use it, easier to communucate that way.
