The reason why The Ungovernable Force sold so well was because it was the most amazing album of our era.. It changed my life, and pretty much everyone I knew was changed by it.. It moulded a generation.. Great interview!

The Ungovernable Force is their Magnus opus and one of the finest records of that era. Talk about paradigm shift after reading those lyrics. I first saw them in April 1991 at The Bristol Bierkeller at the height of the Rave explosion. You would have thought Punk was in full swing. Saying that there were so many old punks at free parties. The DIY culture that Punk pioneered bled into that scene...

Great interview, world has changed so much, 30 years ago when I was into Anarcho stuff it was nigh on impossible to find info on bands etc, I didn't know where Dial House was (had a rough idea) but a few years ago I googled it and just rocked up to say hello; I would have loved if you had asked if Colin was a spiritual person or what his views were on this topic, so much of Crass/Conflict views are Buddhist based if we think about it (more so Crass TBH)......I actually would be interested in the book....Many Thanks.......

Thanks for watching and taking an interest. Yes that's a good question. I know Steve was religious as a teen and then became very anti religious along with the rest of Crass when writing songs like 'So What'. I am pretty sure Colin is not interested in God but its still worth asking. Yes I'm glad you went to Dial House. I've been twice and it had such a peaceful effect on me. An amazing experience.

Great stuff but next time get close to the mic Col - the sound quality is poor compared to Paula which is very clear.

The man is a hater. I forgive him, but he nearly wrecked my life along with the Animal Liberation Front. All is forgiven though. Peace.
