Hey Paul, thanks for making this video. I was thinking about running this race til I decided on another one last minute. How was the altitude - was it pretty high up, making it hard to keep the heart rate down low?
Well i flew in 6 days before the race. And i did some trails over there. For example the 2nd day of my stay in Quito i ran on 3400m (7k) and yes the breathing was hard. The 4th day i ran from 3400 to 4300m and in between these days i did runs in the city and surroundings. I live on sea level so for me the breathing was hard. But i also trained in the sun allot since i live on a tropical island 😄 but i can tell you! The course is one of a kind. Its really beautiful 🤩
